Adult Swim recently expanded an hour of its programming. Now — according to Deadline — they’re doing it again.

The news comes just a month after Adult Swim — which normally began on Cartoon Network at 8 p.m. EST — began broadcasting at 7 p.m. EST. Now, the studio will broadcast Monday through Friday at 6 p.m. EST beginning on August 28, 2023.

According to Deadline, the new block will be called “Checkered Past,” and will showcase many of Cartoon Network’s classic titles. Shows will reportedly include Dexter’s Laboratory, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and Ed, Edd, n’ Eddy. These will replace a rotation of shows like Teen Titans Go!.

For the weekend rotation, Saturdays will see the first hour of Adult Swim airing reruns of current TV-PG originals like Unicorn: Warriors Eternal and My Adventures With Superman. Sundays will feature an “Acme Night,” which will broadcast family-friendly films from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The move comes as Adult Swim’s recent push into the earlier evening was met with praise. According to Deadline, Cartoon Network saw a 38% upswing in the 18-34 age demographic. Increases in the 18-49 age bracket also saw a massive climb, proving fans are are excited for more.

“Animation can both speak to multiple age groups in the moment, and also find new audiences across decades,” said Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Discovery Kids in a statement provided to Deadline. “The early Cartoon Network originals—like Dexter’s Laboratory or Courage the Cowardly Dog are examples of shows that do both.”
