Bachelor in Paradise season 9 premieres in the fall and an early cast list has been leaked by Reality Steve. The reality dating show began filming on June 6 in Mexico, with returning host Jesse Palmer and bartender Wells Adams. Bachelor in Paradise season 8 featured a record 44 contestants, but only one couple is still together. Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby are currently dating, while Brandon Jones and Serene Russell ended their engagement in May.
Bachelor in Paradise begins with an initial group of people from past seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Throughout the season, contestants come and go, connections are made, and relationships begin or end. Now, Reality Steve has the scoop on the first few people who have gone to Mexico for Bachelor in Paradise season 9, with the majority of the women coming from Zach Shallcross’ season and most of the men originating from Charity’s season. In addition, a former Bachelorette will appear on the show.
Blake Moynes
According to Reality Steve, 32-year-old Blake, a wildlife manager from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, will join Bachelor in Paradise season 9. He has tried his luck on two Bachelorette seasons. In 2020, he appeared in Clare Crawley and Taysha Adams’ season. He then returned the following year for Katie Thurston’s season, and they got engaged. However, they broke up a few months later. Reality Steve confirmed that Blake is currently in Mexico, and he believes that he will be part of the initial cast.
Aven Jones
Aven is a 29-year-old sales executive from Salem, Massachusetts, who was Rachel Recchia’s runner-up on The Bachelorette season 19. During the “After the Final Rose” episode, Rachel confronted Tino Franco about his cheating which led to the end of their engagement. Aven then appeared and asked Rachel if she wanted to catch up. She agreed and left the stage with him. However, their relationship didn’t seem to go much further than that.
Tyler Norris
Tyler is a 26-year-old small business owner from Wildwood, New Jersey. He got his Bachelor Nation to start on Rachel and Gabby Windey’s season. Rachel broke up with him during the first part of his hometown date before she met his family. He then joined Bachelor in Paradise season 8 and Tyler left Mexico in a relationship with Brittany Galvin. However, they broke up shortly after filming ended.
Nate Mitchell
Nate, a 34-year-old electrical engineer from Chicago, Illinois, became a fan favorite on Gabby and Rachel’s season. The single dad had a strong connection with Gabby. However, she broke up with him because she felt she wasn’t ready to be a stepmom to his daughter. Reality Steve believes that Nate will be one of the members of the first group of Bachelor in Paradise season 9 contestants.
Kat Izzo
One of the women joining Bachelor in Paradise season 9 is Kat, a 26-year-old registered nurse from Tampa, Florida. Zach formed a connection with Kat during his season. However, they eventually broke up. Kat will now try her luck in Mexico.
Jess Girod
Jess is a 24-year-old e-commerce coordinator from Winter Springs, Florida. She appeared on Zach’s Bachelor season and formed a strong connection. However, when she realized she was one of the only contestants who hadn’t had a one-on-one date, she confronted him about it. This led to Zach eliminating her on the spot.
Mercedes Northup
Another contestant from Zach’s season is Mercedes, a 25-year-old nonprofit case manager from Bloomfield, Iowa. She was eliminated by Zach in London via Zoom due to his bout with COVID-19. Mercedes now gets a second chance at love on the beach.
Cat Carter
Cat is a 26-year-old professional dancer from Long Island, New York. Zach eliminated her during week 2. However, she made a great impression on viewers because of her memorable personality.
Sean McLaughlin
Sean is one of the men from Charity’s upcoming Bachelorette season who will appear on Bachelor in Paradise season 9. He is a 26-year-old software sales rep from Melrose, New York. Reality Steve speculated that perhaps Sean could be part of the initial group arriving on the beach.
Tanner Courtad
Tanner, a 30-year-old mortgage lender from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is also joining Bachelor in Paradise season 9. He will appear in Charity’s upcoming season. Like Sean, Tanner might be part of the first group of singles in Mexico.
Brayden Bowers
Brayden is a 25-year-old travel nurse from Murrieta, California. He will also compete for Charity’s heart. Reality Steve said that he heard Brayden’s name floated around as a possible Bachelor in Paradise season 9 contestant.
Rachel Recchia
The former Bachelorette joining Bachelor in Paradise season 9 is Rachel. She’s a 27-year-old pilot from Clermont, Florida, who got her start on Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor. After going through the infamous Rose Ceremony from Hell and eventually getting dumped by Clayton alongside Gabby, Rachel was offered the opportunity to take on the lead role of The Bachelorette with Gabby. They were the first-ever dual Bachelorettes.
Rachel got engaged to Tino during her season, but they broke up after he kissed another woman during a rough patch in their relationship. Rachel and Gabby later made a special appearance on Bachelor in Paradise season 8 to fill their friends in about the men from their season, which hadn’t yet aired at the time the latter show was filmed.
Bachelor Nation Alums Who Won’t Be Joining Bachelor In Paradise Season 9
Reality Steve mentioned several Bachelor Nation members who were rumored to be participating in Bachelor in Paradise but can confirm who will not be joining BIP. Former lead Gabby won’t be going, nor will Zach’s runner-up Gabi Elnicki. The Bachelor season 15 star Peter Weber won’t be looking for love on the beach either. He was recently spotted with Davia Bunch from Zach’s season on a date at a Zach Bryan concert. Reality Steve wondered if they were going to try dating outside of the show. In addition to these Reality Steve reveals, Clayton shared on Instagram that he will not appear on Bachelor in Paradise season 9 either.
Reality Steve reminded his listeners that just because contestants are in Mexico doesn’t necessarily mean they will appear on Bachelor in Paradise season 9. He said that people who are brought to the show can sit in a hotel for a week or two before appearing on the beach. He also stated that it’s happened more than once that contestants haven’t made it onto the show at all. Many more names will be announced before the fall premiere, but Bachelor in Paradise season 9 already seems like one of the most dramatic seasons yet.
