It’s been confirmed that the premiere of Harley Quinn Season 4 has been set for July 27th on Max. So, fans won’t have to wait much longer to see the return of DC’s crazy entertaining animated series.

The series follows Harley Quinn‘s adventures, which began after her break-up with the Joker. The story centers around Harley, Poison Ivy, and other DC castoffs including King Shark, Clayface, and Doctor Psycho, as they try to help each other earn a seat at the biggest table in villainy: the Legion of the Doom. Season 2 ended with Harley and Ivy finally getting together, following Ivy’s failed wedding with Kite Man.

In Season 3, “The mayhem and madness continue in season three of this biting and uproarious adult animated comedy series. Wrapping up their ‘Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour,’ Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy return to Gotham as the new power couple of DC villainy. Along with their ragtag crew – King Shark, Clayface, Frank the Plant – ‘Harlivy’ strives to become the best version of themselves while also working towards Ivy’s long-desired plan of transforming Gotham into an Eden paradise.”

As for what we can expect from Season 4, the new batch of episodes will see series writer Sarah Peters (Workaholics, Master of None, Nathan For You) taking over as executive producer and showrunner. When talking about Season 4, co-creator Patrick Schumacker said:

“Sarah writes Ivy like no one else, and Season 4 will explore Ivy more than we have. There’s her new role with the Legion of Doom. There’s something Justin and I would not have immediately gone toward – I’m trying not to spoil anything – but she did an amazing job. Obviously, the show has benefited greatly from so many different female perspectives amongst the writers, and Sarah has always been very key. She’s written some of the most memorable, enduring episodes. She’s the one who brought Catwoman into the fold, she’s the one who wrote the Season 2 finale where Harley and Ivy go driving off from Ivy’s intended wedding [with Kite Man], the bachelorette episode on Themyscira, our Season 3 premiere. Her grasp of Ivy and her ideas are things we certainly would never think of, and I’m really excited for people to get to see that.”

I’ve enjoyed this show and I’m looking forward to seeing how the story for these DC characters is going to play out over the course of the next season. I have no doubt it’ll be a ton of fun!

The voice cast for the show includes Kaley Cuoco as Harley, Lake Bell as Poison Ivy, Alan Tudyk as Clayface and the Joker, Ron Funches as King Shark, JB Smoove as Frank the Plant, Giancarlo Esposito as Lex Luthor, Natalie Morales as Lois Lane, Jim Rash as Riddler, Diedrich Bader as Batman, Tony Hale as Dr. Psycho, Chris Meloni as Commissioner Gordon, Rahul Kohli as Scarecrow, Sanaa Lathan as Catwoman, Vanessa Marshall as Wonder Woman, and Jacob Tremblay as Robin.
