Nicki Minaj‘s generosity seems to know no bounds. The Queen rapper has kindly offered to help with future tuition costs for a 14-year-old Chicago teen who was arrested with his mother, Carlishia Hood, after a fatal shooting incident.
A video recently surfaced online where Hood was seen being viciously attacked by a man named Jeremy Brown during a heated argument. During the melee, Hood’s teenage son shot and killed Brown, presumably in an effort to protect his mother.
The pair were facing charges in connection with Brown’s death — however, prosecutors have since dropped them. On Tuesday (June 27), Nicki Minaj offered the young teen some recognition via her Instagram Story, referring to him as a “hero.”
Minaj noted that the teen did “what any son would do.”
“That 14-year-old boy that backed [that] hammer out when that grown ass man was punching his mother in the face as if she were a MAN is a true hero,” she wrote. “If he wants to go to college, I’d love to help. It’s what ANY son should’ve done for their MOTHER. She raised a dope kid and should be so proud. Also, God knew [before] she knew that she’d be attacked that day and made sure they had protection on DECK. God is GOOD.”

In other related news, the Pinkprint rapper has issued a severe warning to blogs after claims were made that she gifted her husband, Kenneth Petty, with a massive iced-out chain.
In a now-deleted tweet on Monday (June 26), Minaj responded to a post from Rap Alert, which sees Petty sporting a very extravagant piece of jewelry that says “Big Sleeze,” which they alleged was purchased by his wife.
In response, the Queen rapper accused the blog page of not doing its research and even threatened litigation. “This is a blatant lie,” Minaj wrote. “Would you like to be added to the list of blogs making up random stories, not FAQ checking, getting sued, too, boo?”
However, it was later revealed that the account was, in fact, fake.
Nicki is very serious when dealing with false claims made up by publications and bloggers. Last September, she launched a $75,000 lawsuit against a blogger who goes by the name “Nosey Heaux” for claiming the “Moment For Life” rapper has a drug problem.
