Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jennifer Aydin has had her fair share of alcohol-induced moments on the show. However, that’s where she prefers to keep them.
According to the Bravo star, while attempting to take photos with fans during BravoCon 2022, Jennifer witnessed the debauchery of the infamous Sonja Morgan firsthand as well as her interaction with fans, and let’s just say it left little to be desired.
Jennifer divulged that amid the reality TV convention, she was paired with Real Housewives of New York City’s Luann de Lesseps and Sonja for an “impromptu” photo-op. She claimed Sonja couldn’t have cared less about the fans — or her.
[Sonja] doesn’t even notice me, has no idea who I am, probably doesn’t know who I am to this day … She looks at my handler and she goes, ‘No selfies, no singles, if anyone wants singles you have to tell them they have to go back to the end of the line and wait. Don’t make me be mean today,’” Jennifer revealed on the AllAboutTRH podcast. She named Sonja her “least favorite” Housewife.
“Dude, you know, it was very disappointing to me because I’m like these fans have been waiting, and they’re going to scream your name — it was just not nice.”
Jennifer stated that she eventually removed herself from the event because she felt “uncomfortable,” and she went to take photos with fans that were waiting in line.
Jennifer admitted that, in hindsight, she should have been a little more wary as her first interaction with Sonja wasn’t at the photo-op event. Rather, it took place the previous night at a Watch What Happens Live event hosted by Andy Cohen, where she claims Sonja was extremely intoxicated.
“My first like heebie-jeebies was like the night before [the meet and greet] ‘cause we were at, you know, Andy Cohen’s massive Watch What Happens Live and she was so drunk,” Jennifer alleged.
The RHONJ star continued by describing Sonja as “fumbling all over” her husband, Bill Aydin, and her co-star, Joe Gorga, who were seated next to her.
“I was like just fall on my husband, b-tch, just fall, fall on him for two seconds, and then you are going to see, like, a sprint to the neck. I was like why is she getting so drunk like this when we’re all together here, you know? It’s like this is work. You’ve got to keep your composure,” Jennifer recounted.
Though Jennifer won’t be singing Sonja’s praises any time soon, she did reveal who some of her favorite Housewives are. She told the podcast that her favorite Real Housewives of Beverly Hills personality is former star Lisa Rinna. She also stated that she’s a big fan of Real Housewives of Potomac‘s Candiace Dillard Basset because “she’s shady” but “confident.” Jennifer also said that she respects that Candiace isn’t afraid to show her vulnerability.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey recently ended its 13th season and has reportedly been “put on pause” as the network figures out how to move forward with the fractured cast.
