Allison Mack, best known for her roles as Chloe Sullivan on Smallville, has been released from prison early. Mack was arrested back in 2021 on charges of racketeering related to the NXIVM multi-level marketing scheme and cult.
Allison Mack’s involvement with NXIVM stretches back to her time working as Chloe Sullivan on Smallville. She joined the group in 2006, eventually creating her own sub-group in 2015. NXIVM, while ostensibly a seminar group for personal development, is largely viewed as a cult of personality of its leader Keith Raniere, who is currently serving 120 years on charges including human trafficking, sex offenses, and fraud.
Allison Mack was initially arrested by the FBI in 2018 on charges of sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy and forced labor conspiracy. The Smallville actress eventually pleaded down these charges to racketeering and racketeering conspiracy, which landed her a three year sentence in 2021. This leniency was likely due to her cooperation in the investigation against NXIVM leader Keith Raniere.
Despite her three year sentence ending early today, Allison Mack will continue to be on supervised release for another three years, along with being required to complete 1000 hours of community service.
