Weekend Reading 169: Eight Limbs & Lost and Found: A Heart of the City Collection.

AVERY KAPLAN: First up this weekend, I’ve finally got my hands on Lost and Found: A Heart of the City Collection by Steenz! Next, I’ll be checking out Eight Limbs by Stephanie Phillips, Giulia Lalli, Lee Loughridge, and Andworld Designs’s Jame, with a cover by Dan Panosian.

Weekend Reading 169: Komi Can’t Communicate Vol. 1.

TAIMUR DAR: About a year ago, I fell in love with a delightful anime called Komi Can’t Communicate. As I’ve mentioned before, my manga reading is sorely lacking and it only just now dawned on me to look into the original manga by Tomohito Oda. Sure enough, the manga is just as charming as the anime so I’ll be digging into the first few volumes through the libby app during the weekend. In addition, I’ve waited ages for Spy x Family Vol. 9 to be available at the library and it’s finally arrived. So I’m excited for more adventures with the Forger family. 

CY BELTRAN: I’ve been trying to find a great long-term comics reading project (outside of every Stephen King book I can get my hands on) for a while now, and based on everything going on with the imminent Hellfire Gala, I think I’m going to attempt a complete read of every (major?) Ms. Marvel story, starting with Ms. Marvel: Kamala Khan by G. Willow Wilson, Adrian Alphona, Jake Wyatt, and Ian Herring. I love those Marvel Digest Sized Editions, and I’ve set aside the whole run at my local shop to work through Kamala’s stories. And, of course, I’m back on my King-Kick and have gotten about 120 pages into Firestarter (it’s not my favorite so far, but still good!).
