Today is Day 3 of San Diego Comic-Con 2023! And that can only mean one thing here at Stately Beat Manor: fresh reading material!

What will you be paging through this weekend? The Beat is waiting to hear from you! Give us a shout-out in the comment section and let us know.

Weekend Reading 170
Weekend Reading 170: Three Rocks and Werewolf Jones & Sons Deluxe Summer Fun Annual.

AVERY KAPLAN: Did someone say “early SDCC ‘23 releases”? First up, I’m diving headfirst into Werewolf Jones and Sons Deluxe Summer Fun Annual! By Simon Hanselmann & Josh Pettinger. Next up will be Three Rocks: The Story of Ernie Bushmiller, The Man Who Created Nancy by Bill Griffith.

Weekend Reading 170
Weekend Reading 170: The Last Ronin: Lost Day Special.

TAIMUR DAR: I’m busy burning the midnight oil and hard at work with Team Beat bringing you all the SDCC coverage you love. Nevertheless, I’m hoping to still get in some reading while I’m here. Most of this week’s new release comics are being held for me back home in NYC but a friend lent me a copy of TMNT: The Last Ronin- Lost Day one-shot that I’m hoping I get time to read for during the show.

Weekend Reading 170
Weekend Reading 170: Something is Killing the Children.

GABRIEL NEEB: Re-Reading the trades of SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN. Part of my report on the SLAUGHTERVERSE panel but they’re so darn readable.
