Every Monday provides a new Wordle word to solve. Here are the daily hints, and fully spoiled answer, to the July 31st Wordle.
The new week brings a new Wordle for players to solve and today’s answer might just break a few win streaks. Although not a difficult game there are many words that can easily throw a player off. Weird spellings or repeated vowels can easily waste a large number of guesses, and before it’s noticed, the player has lost.
Despite its difficulties, there are a number of strategic tips that Wordle players can use to help them each day. The top one is a consistent starting word. Using the same word to begin a game each day helps the player learn how to react based on the initial hints given. Many players even find that a two-word combo is the best way to begin a game and cover as many letters as possible right off the bat.

Today’s Wordle Answer (July 31st #772)
The July 31st Wordle answer is STYLE.
For our starting Wordle word today we used IRATE which provided an incorrectly placed ‘T’ and a perfectly placed ‘E’. Continuing forward we tried STOLE, this clearly locked in most of the answer and made for a very easy third guess.
It is always a good feeling when you’re absolutely sure of an answer, and we were very sure today with our third guess, STYLE. This locked in a Wordle win-in-three and continued our long-standing win streak for one more day.

Summary: Wordle is a web-based word-guessing game developed by Josh Wardle that took the world by storm in 2021. Players are given a five-letter word to guess and have six attempts to get the word correct. When they get a letter correct, it will mark itself as green if it’s in the correct position and yellow if it is the correct letter in the wrong position. A yellow letter also means that letter could appear more than once. Wordle was purchased by The New York Times Company in 2022 and added to their website and app, keeping the core game free to play as promised – with additional words and other bonuses available through subscription, and is available via browser, iOS, and Android.
