Arrow star Stephen Amell recently spoke out against the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. His former Arrowverse co-stars Matt Letsche and Kirk Aceved have now called him out.

Stephen Amell’s comments stemmed from an appearance at GalaxyCon where the Arrow star called striking a “reductive tactic”. This led Reverse Flash actor Matt Letscher to throw shade at those comments, saying he’s waiting for someone to reveal the “non-reductive” tactics being referred to. Kirk Acevedo, who played Ricardo Diaz on Arrow’s sixth and seventh seasons, was much less kind in his comments, directly sending expletives his way:

Still waiting on that comprehensive list of totally non-reductive negotiating tactics we get to employ now. Thank god for superheroes! Any second now…. #SAGAFTRAstrike #SAGAFTRAstrong

— Matt Letscher (@MattLetscher) August 1, 2023

While Stephen Amell has gone on to clarify that his statement wasn’t meant to detract from SAG-AFTRA’s strike, insisting he still stands with the union, the apology seems too little too late for his Arrowverse co-stars who seem to stand by their initial comments. Though hopefully, for the sake of all actors, the stars can put their words aside to join together on the picket lines.

From the Arrowverse to the DCU?

While his superhero future remains unclear, Stephen Amell returning as Green Arrow in the DCU would be far from the first time the Arrowverse has crossed paths with big-budget DC Comics films. Ezra Miller famously appeared as his version of The Flash during the Crisis on Infinite Earths special, which also featured appearances by Robin actor Burt Ward and the cast of Titans, which had its own ties to the Shazam! films.

The final season of The Flash brought closure to the story of one of the most iconic and beloved characters in the Arrowverse. The series has been a staple of the CW network and has been widely praised for its action sequences and engaging character arcs along with its witty and heartfelt storytelling.

James Gunn and Peter Safran told journalists that their vision for the DC Universe includes locked scripts, wiggle room and a unified storyline across film, television, animation and video game projects. The two explained that the DC Universe could bring back elements from previous DC regimes, meaning that their eight-to-year plan is not a full reboot.

Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe!
