Dynamite is getting ready for the spooky season with Disney’s Gargoyles Halloween Special! The book will also be an essential part of the ongoing Gargoyles canon.
Franchise creator and longtime shepherd across multimedia, Greg Weisman, will write and for this special release, he’s joined by artist Bonesso Diego and letterer Jeff Eckleberry.
“It’s the scariest night of the year, but that doesn’t scare Gnash, as he heads out for his first Halloween in Manhattan,” said Weisman. “With candy, new friends… and all measure of monsters waiting in the shadows, Gnash is in for a classic Gargoyles Halloween adventure.”

It’s the first Halloween in the city that never sleeps for the youngest member of the Manhattan Clan, Nashville a.k.a. Gnash. His mother Katana doesn’t quite get the point of trick-or-treating, but his father Brooklyn understands that it’s the one night a year when Gnash can safely roam the city, since humans will believe he’s simply a guy in a costume.
At least, it should be a safe night! Gnash will run afoul of the masked Quarrymen, out hunting Gargoyles on All Hallow’s Eve, having set their sights on the entire Manhattan Clan!
Set to release on October 18, the book is a 40-page special with an extra-length 28-page main story. It also features three remarkable covers from Matteo Lolli, Rebeca Puebla, and Mirka Andolfo.
Gargoyles Halloween Special is available for preorder and will release in October 2023. It will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Dynamite Digital, ComicsPlus, and more.
