Uncork’d Entertainment has revealed a new trailer and release date for the upcoming folklore horror The Hanged Girl.
The movie, directed by JD Cohen (Ravenswood) sees a group of friends go on holiday to St. Joseph’s Guesthouse. Unbeknownst to them, the site has a history of suspected witchcraft and a tale of a girl being sacrificed there centuries ago. The real problem may be something more supernatural, however, as it appears the spirit known as The Hanged Girl resides at the Guesthouse.
The story has roots in real folklore, and the trailer certainly plays up to that.
The Hanged Girl Trailer and Release Date
The Hanged Girl stars Tal Hymans, Alex Snow, Tara Jay, and Elke Hinrichsen. Keith Leopard, the President of Uncork’d Entertainment says, “Based on a compelling folklore legend, and featuring state-of-the-art special effects and superb scares, we’re looking forward for audiences to discover the terrifying mystery of The Hanged Girl”.
The movie will release on digital platforms and on DVD on September 5, 2023.
