In Hello Kitty Island Adventure, players will come across Power Crystals. These Power Crystals help power up various aspects of the island and, therefore, must be found to get things up and running again. Players can find five different types of crystals, each with an associated quest.
While progressing through the natural story of the game, players will be presented with five different quests that involve finding Power Crystals needed to power up something on the island. The five different power crystals are separated by colors, including Yellow, Green, Purple, Red, and Blue.
Yellow Power Crystal Locations
The Yellow Power Crystals are the first ones that players will encounter when progressing through Hello Kitty Island Adventure, and they will allow access to Spooky Swamp. There are only three to track down; luckily, they are relatively easy to obtain.
To begin the Power Up The Gate quest, which will initiate the hunt for Yellow Power Crystals, players will need to first befriend Chococat. Once the quest starts, follow Chococat’s instructions and help him track down the Yellow Power Crystals to open the gate to Spooky Swamp.
Power Crystal
Location
Yello Power Crystal #1
To the left of where Chococat resides, next to his crafting table, there will be a large rock structure with a door. Once the quest is initiated and prior steps have been taken, players will be able to open the door and head inside, where there will be a puzzle room containing the first Yellow Power Crystal.
Yellow Power Crystal #2
The second Yellow Power Crystal will also be found in one of these large rock structures. This one can be found along the West Coast of the Island Resort. Slightly to the Northwest of where Tuxedosam resides. Head inside the same type of door for another puzzle room containing the crystal.
Yellow Power Crystal #3
The final Power Crystal is going to require a little more work. Head straight North from the center of the Resort down the wooden path. There will be a sign next to a broken bridge that leads to an island. Chococat will then instruct players to get My Melody’s help repairing the bridge. Follow the instructions to fix the bridge, then head directly across to find the final Power Crystal to the right once reaching the end of the bridge.
Green Power Crystal Locations
The Green Power Crystals will come up once passing through the gate the Yellow Power Crystals opened. While in Spooky Swamp, players will notice a ride that seems to need fixing and a Haunted Mansion that could be more lively.
There will be several spots for Power Crystals all around the area; this is specifically for the Green Power Crystals. To unlock the associated quest, Re-Haunt The Spooky Swamp, players will need to reach at least level 4 friendship with Kuromi, which can be done through gifts in Hello Kitty Island Adventure; for Kuromi, this specifically means Fall-related items.
Power Crystal
Location
Green Power Crystal #1
The first Green Power Crystal can be obtained relatively easily. Once initiating the quest with Kuromi, simply follow her and progress through it until she hands over the first Green Power Crystal. No searching is required.
Green Power Crystal #2
The second Green Power Crystal is much harder to grab. After activating the Haunted Mansion with the first one, head inside and up the stairs to complete every room on every floor of the Haunted Mansion. Once clearing everything, a Green Power Crystal will be waiting in the final room.
Green Power Crystal #3
After using the second Power Crystal to power up the Ghost Tour Ride, clear it of all fog to unlock the door to the room containing the third Power Crystal. When looking at the map, it will be in one of the temple-style rooms that are North of the Ghost Tour Ride.
Purple Power Crystal Locations
The Purple Power Crystals will be initiated by starting the Bring Back The Swing quest in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. To start this quest, players need to reach friendship level 5 with Pekkle. Additionally, if Chococat is currently dealing with any other quests, those will need to be completed first as well. The Purple Power Crystals are needed to help power up the animatronic band in the Dance Hall so that everyone can get back to dancing. Like the other Power Crystal types, there are only three to track down.
Power Crystal
Location
Purple Power Crystal #1
Beginning from the Gemstone Mailbox, head down the path that is a bit Northeast when looking at the map. Follow it all the way down to where a Purple Power Crystal will be waiting on a tiny island.
Purple Power Crystal #2
The second Purple Power Crystal will be found in the opposite direction of the first path. Head Southwest from the Fast Travel Mailbox and the Purple Power Crystal will be at the top of that hill. Players with increased stamina in Hello Kitty Island Adventure can climb from there. Players who still need to circle around and find another way to get up there.
Purple Power Crystal #3
The final Purple Power Crystal will also require that players have gained some extra stamina, or they will need to find another long way around. Directly south of the Crystal Caves entrance, walk until reaching the edge of a cliffside, and then head left to where the two bridges are. Follow the one further to the left to find the last Purple Power Crystal.
Red Power Crystal Locations
Retsuko needs help finding the three Red Power Crystals to retrieve some lost luggage in Hello Kitty Island Adventure after the crash. Unfortunately, all of the luggage is trapped behind doors leading into Mount Hothead, so the Red Power Crystals are needed to open the doors.
Players will need to reach level 7 friendship with Retsuko to trigger the quest, Enraging Ruins. This quest will allow players to place the crystals and open the doors. Though they can be found earlier, like some of the other crystal types, the quest is what allows them to be utilized.
Power Crystal
Location
Red Power Crystal #1
The first Red Power Crystal is simple to reach as long as players can swim with the flippers. From where Retsuko is residing, near the fast-travel mailbox, head West when looking at the map and drop down one level to where there is a tiny pond with a tiny island in the center. The Red Power Crystal should be visible, sitting in the center of it.
Red Power Crystal #2
The second Red Power Crystal is going to be in the opposite direction. Return to the fast-travel mailbox near Retsuko, and this time head East. Follow the path until it reaches the dried molten lava area. Along the edge, the second Red Power Crystal can be found.
Red Power Crystal #3
From the location of the second Red Power Crystal, continue along the path until reaching the area where there are some waterfalls. The final Red Power Crystal will be hopped down and directly in front of one of the waterfalls on a little path passing over the water.
Blue Power Crystal Locations
Hangyodon needs help finding the Blue Power Crystals to make the Comedy Club accessible to everyone. Since Hangyodon is a fish, naturally, the Comedy Club resides underwater; because of this, it’s not exactly a hot spot for players on the island. The Blue Power Crystals have the power to change that, but only after getting Hangyodon to friendship level 6 and starting the Comic Relief quest in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
As usual, there are only three to find, and this time, they will all be found underwater. This is where some extra stamina may come in handy for players; additionally, if the Snorkel has not already been unlocked with Kuromi, this will be impossible to begin.
Power Crystal
Location
Blue Power Crystal #1
South of Gemstone, there is a wooden path leading out onto the water. Head to the end of that dock and jump in the water. Dive straight down from there to find the first Blue Power Crystal next to some coral there.
Blue Power Crystal #2
The second Blue Power Crystal is easy to track down. Open up the map to see a rather large sunken ship marked in the water. Head there and dive down to find the hole in it, which will allow players inside. The second Blue Power Crystal can be found inside the ship.
Blue Power Crystal #3
Northwest of the Comedy Club, there is a kelp maze underwater. Near part of it, some rock formations make an L shape, which can be viewed on the map. Head to the interior crevice of that L shape to find the final Blue Power Crystal in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
