Loki season 1 is set to get a physical SteelBook release featuring hours of special features and cut content, including a deleted scene from the Disney Plus series featuring Chris Hemsworth.
Despite the first season’s quality, fans couldn’t help but wish there was some form of Thor cameo in Loki. However, with the SteelBook set to release the Disney Plys series on physical media, it seems as though those wishes will finally become a reality. A brand new deleted scene is set to feature Chris Hemsworth voicing Throg, a Frog version of Thor wielding a shattered sliver of Mjolnir:
“Mobius reviews some moments from Loki’s timeline, in which Frog Thor makes an appearance during Loki’s coronation.”
Special attention should be paid to the fact that the event will be from Loki’s timeline, making Throg the main Thor that Chris Hemsworth plays in the MCU and not a multiverse variant. This is supported by the comics, where the God of Thunder was transformed into a frog by the sorcerer Alberich, though it’s likely his brother will take that role in the deleted scene from the Disney Plus show.
Tom Hiddleston is spearheading the cast of Loki season two as the titular God of Mischief. The cast also includes Owen Wilson, Jonathan Majors, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Tara Strong, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Ke Huy Quan and Neil Ellice.
Eric Martin replaced Michael Waldron as the head writer of Loki for its second season. Martin and Waldron also serve as executive producers on the series alongside Tom Hiddleston, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. Benson and Moorhead directed the majority of the episodes for the upcoming season.
Loki season two is expected to premiere next Summer on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
