RHOBH’s Mauricio Umansky is working on his marriage to Kyle Richards and his dance moves as he joins the season 32 cast of DWTS.
Mauricio Umansky, the husband of RHOBH OG Kyle Richards, has officially joined the season 32 cast of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars.
On Wednesday’s Good Morning America, Mauricio was announced as a member of the upcoming DWTS cast. He will be partnered with professional dancer Emma Slater.
During the appearance, Mauricio revealed that his wife and four daughters are thrilled for him to be competing on DWTS.
“They were so excited,” Mauricio said. “My girls, my wife, everybody is gonna be there [to see me dance]. And we’re gonna have a ton of fun.”
He added that fans can “100 percent” expect to see his family support him on DWTS.
Kyle and her oldest daughter, Farrah Aldjufrie, publicly celebrated Mauricio joining DWTS on Instagram.
Later on that day, the Buying Beverly Hills star opened up about his troubled marriage to Kyle, claiming that they are currently “happy” and “working through” their issues.
“You know, we’re hanging in there, we’re working through all of our things, which everybody knows about, and we’re just taking it day by day… I can tell you we are both happy,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
“We’re trying not to let the press influence us and all of the social media and all of the stuff that’s going on,” Mauricio added. “So we’re trying to just ignore that and figure that ourselves.”
This statement from Mauricio comes just weeks after Kyle broke her silence on their marriage during an Amazon Live. At the time, the RHOBH star admitted that things between her and Mauricio have been rough and complicated.
“That’s a very loaded question. This has been very hard to do [because] it’s playing out with so many people having eyes on us and being in the public eye,” Kyle told fans. “Obviously, we care about each other a lot. You know, here we are on vacation.”
In July, rumors about Kyle and Mauricio’s marriage began to pop up on social media. The gossip was further fueled when PEOPLE reported that Kyle and Mauricio were separating after 27 years of marriage.
According to sources, Kyle and Mauricio have “been separated for a while now.”
However, the two “are still living under the same roof. They remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family.”
Kyle and Mauricio both denied being separated in a joint statement on social media.
“In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding divorcing are untrue,” the joint statement read. “However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously.”
The statement continued, “There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is reportedly returning to Bravo for season 13 in late 2023. Some reports suggest season 13 will premiere on November 1.
