September 14th’s Wordle answer is one of the trickier puzzles that will require you to use hints at some point to keep your daily streak going.

Today’s Wordle Answer & Hints for September 14, 2023 (Puzzle #817)

If you are trying to attempt September 14th’s Wordle answer and are unable to think of the solution, you aren’t the only one. Today’s answer is quite tricky as it isn’t a ubiquitous word used in conversation but is instead used as a type of fabric for clothes. On top of the complexity of the word, the answer also features multiple vowels in odd positions that might cause you to use all of your attempts on random guesses. This could cause you to lose your daily streak unless you use some hints or a different mode to solve the puzzle.

Wordle has a secret hard mode that lets players attempt every daily puzzle with more stringent rules. While these rules aren’t that difficult, they can be more time-consuming. However, this mode does prevent players from using random guesses, as you can only reuse confirmed letters in the same spot for subsequent attempts. Therefore, this mode has been hailed as an excellent way to develop strategies and transfer them over to the regular mode. However, if you still need help, you can use the hints below.

Similarly, the hints below only point you towards the solution but still require you to solve it independently. Here are four hints that might help solve September 14th’s Wordle answer:

Hint 1

There are no repeating letters.

Hint 2

The answer is used as a noun.

Hint 3

The vowels are in the 2nd & 4th positions.

Hint 4

A textile fiber or fabric made from viscose.

The September 14th Wordle answer is RAYON.

14th September’s Wordle answer is not as easy as yesterday’s solution and will require some knowledge about fabrics if you use the above hints. However, if you use words such as ROAST, TRAYS, and RACES, you should be able to discover the correct position of at least three letters. Since not many words end with “YON,” your next bet should be on ANYON. This will let you discover the correct position of almost every letter. Eventually, you should be able to solve today’s Wordle answer using the word RAYON.

Summary: Wordle is a web-based word-guessing game developed by Josh Wardle that took the world by storm in 2021. Players are given a five-letter word to guess and have six attempts to get the word correct. When they get a letter correct, it will mark itself as green if it’s in the correct position and yellow if it is the correct letter in the wrong position. A yellow letter also means that letter could appear more than once. Wordle was purchased by The New York Times Company in 2022 and added to their website and app, keeping the core game free to play as promised – with additional words and other bonuses available through subscription, and is available via browser, iOS, and Android.
