After nearly 19 months of separation, actor Anthony Anderson and his ex-wife Alvina Anderson have finally settled their divorce. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the estranged couple has reached an agreement, bringing an end to their lengthy legal battle. This news comes as a relief to both parties, as they can now move forward with their lives and put whatever issues that led to their split behind them.
News of Anthony and Alvina’s split first surfaced in March 2022 when Alvina filed for divorce after 23 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. Since then, the couple has been engaged in a bitter dispute over various issues, including spousal support and attorney fees. However, it seems that they have finally found common ground and have come to a resolution that satisfies both parties. Alvina had previously filed for divorce back in 2015 before calling it off in 2017.
Per the court documents obtained by the aforementioned publication, the actor has agreed to pay spousal support, having also gone ahead and mutually sold the Encino home he shared with his ex, with the profits being split evenly. He was further asked to co-sign on a 12-month lease in order to make sure Alvina “may secure alternative housing.” The pair share two children: Kyra, 26, and Nathan, 22.
