The 2023 VMAs went down on Tuesday and it looked like an exciting fun night but apparently, there was a lot going on behind the scenes…
Now, as many are aware, Nicki Minaj hosted the biggest night in music and delivered a good performance. However, clips started to emerge online showing Minaj in a heated moment backstage. At the time it was unclear what was going on but now social media users are trying to piece things together.
Following the VMAS another video hit the internet showing Minaj’s husband Kenneth Zoo Petty posted up on a NYC street with his crew. In the clip, you could see the angry guys make a couple of threats and at one point even mention Cardi B’s husband’s name. “Offset where you at?” One of Petty’s friends can be heard asking. Petty adds “Don’t let this p*ssy a** n**as fool you, these n**gas is nervous.” In a third clip circling online, Petty’s friend explains that Offset actually DM’d him first “at the VMAs” which is why they were so amped up. “That whole gang can suck a d*ck. It’s all fun and games until we want to play too,” Petty says before his friend admits, “Yeah we dumb but f*ck it.”
So where the heck is all of this coming from? Well, fans did some digging and realized that Petty and his friend were giving this energy backstage at the VMAS. In that clip, Petty says he’s “ready for y’all n*ggas to act stupid.” To make matters worse, fans figured out that Offset DM’d Petty’s friend because he had been making online threats to his wife and did so again during the VMAs.
