Both Topher Grace and Tom Hardy have portrayed Eddie Brock across Spider-Man media. A new TikTok video from Sony potentially teases a stand-off between the two actors in Venom 3.
Fans have seen the Spider-Verse, but now it’s time for the Venom-Verse. Sony recently posted a video to TikTok featuring clips of Tom Hardy and Topher Grace fighting each other using a mash-up of clips from Venom and Spider-Man 3. While certainly just a fun social media post, some fans believe this could signal Grace’s appearance in Venom 3.
Given Sony’s recent focus on the multiverse, with Tom Hardy’s Venom himself even appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it wouldn’t be out of the question for Topher Grace to make a cameo in Venom 3. However, given Spider-Man 3 almost single-handedly killed Tobey Maguire’s trilogy, it isn’t likely Sony would want to remind people of that film.
What to expect from the next Venom movie
Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal and Hutch Parker are producing Venom 3. The four were also involved with the first two Venom movies, which were directed by Ruben Fleischer and Andy Serkis. Kelly Marcel is making her directorial debut with the third installment.
Venom and its follow-up Venom: Let There Be Carnage earned a combined $1.36 billion at the worldwide box office. Following their release, Tom Hardy reprised his role as the anti-hero for the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home, setting up the long-awaited arrival of the Symbiote suit for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker.
