The bass community has been on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting Excision and Subtronics’ unreleased ID after their long-awaited B2B at Bass Canyon in August. Less than a month later, the colossal collaboration has finally arrived.
Out via Cyclops Recordings, “Asteroid” combines the distinctive elements of a pair of the biggest artists in dubstep. Blending Subtronics’ intricate, nuanced sound design and quirky textures with Excision’s guttural bass and sheer intensity, the result is nothing short of addicting.
These dubstep titans aren’t stopping at “Asteroid.” After announcing his “Nexus” tour with over 50 stops around North America, Excision is embarking on his most ambitious live run to date this winter. On the other hand, Subtronics, one of EDM.com’s best music producers of 2020, recently just announced a pair of arena shows at the Tacoma Dome as he works on his hotly anticipated sophomore album.
