The $3 million Georgia mansion of RHOA alums Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann has fallen into pre-foreclosure yet again.
Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are on the verge of losing their Alpharetta, Georgia mansion – for the third time in nearly a year.
The home owned by the Real Housewives of Atlanta alums is set to be seized by the bank on November 7, 2023.
Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann purchased the property in 2012, and it acted as the backdrop for their family’s Bravo reality TV show, Don’t Be Tardy, which aired for seven seasons. The home, located at 3140 Manor Bridge Drive, Alpharetta, 30004, sits on Manor Golf & Country Club and boasts five bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms, totaling 6,907-square-foot of living space.
Amid this all, Kroy now accuses his estranged wife of being “abusive” towards him in front of their four minor children: Kroy Jr. “KJ,” 12, Kash, 11; and twins Kaia and Kane, 9.
In recently filed court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Kroy alleges that Kim Zolciak spends “little time at home” with their children. He also claims that Kim “frequently takes videos of herself” while driving in the car with the kids.
Because of this, Kroy believes it is in the “best interest and welfare” of his and Kim’s kids to have family law attorney Diane Woods act as the children’s guardian throughout the divorce process.
According to Kroy’s attorney, Marlys A. Bergstrom, Diane would serve as “an attorney for the children and as the eyes and ears of the court.”
“[The guardian] can do whatever investigation she feels necessary to help the court determine what custodial arrangement is in the best interest of the children. Ms. Diane Woods is a very experienced and well-respected Guardian Ad Litem,” Bergstrom said in a statement.
The former NFL star hopes that Diane can “shield the children from the negative fallout of their parents’ divorce” since Kim continues to “direct, in a derogatory tone, abusive, profane and threat-laden language [toward him] with little concern if the children are present.”
Kroy also alleges that Kim wants to return to the Real Housewives of Atlanta, which Kroy believes could negatively affect their children if Kim discusses the dirty details of their divorce on TV.
“Based on previous experience, [Kroy] is concerned that [Kim] will use the television show to garner attention by discussing the divorce and exposing the children to behavior that would be great for TV ratings, but not for the mental health and wellbeing of the children,” the court documents state.
Earlier this month, Kroy filed paperwork to put his and his estranged wife Kim Zolciak‘s $3 million home on the market in hopes of offloading it quickly.
Kim recently claimed that she was the one who suggested selling their marital home. However, she has yet to sign off on selling the house, which is why Kroy has requested an emergency court hearing to get the ball rolling.
The former couple’s financial issues are dire. Kroy has been selling personal items to help pay the mortgage, but the home is still on the verge of foreclosure yet again.
“None of the funds garnered from the sale of these items have gone towards the mortgage or any other bills,” Kroy wrote in court documents.
The 38-year-old is still hopeful he and Kim can offload the property before it’s too late. Kroy’s attorney tells TMZ that he will be going to court next week to push for the home to be sold ASAP.
“We are going to court on September 27th to request that the court order the home sold,” Bergstrom told the outlet.
RHOA is expected to return for season 16 in 2024.
