RHOSLC’s Whitney Rose says Meredith Marks doesn’t live in SLC. Plus, talks about being cautious with Heather Gay and rumors about Angie K’s hubby.
The drama on the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is heating up! On this week’s episode of RHOLSC, fans saw Meredith Marks tease a nasty rumor about Angie K’s hubby as they argued at dinner in Palm Springs. Meredith was NOT happy that Whitney Rose invited Angie K on the trip behind her back. Naturally, Angie K. and Meredith’s issues came to a fever pitch at dinner.
Near the end of their argument, Meredith screamed at Angie K to “get the f–k out” after attempting to have a waiter, whom she mistook as security, toss Angie K from the dinner.
As Meredith sobbed over the drama, she threatened to reveal a rumor about Angie K’s husband, Shawn Trujillo.
“If I want to go for the jugular and talk about this s***,” Meredith said. “The rumors, the nastiness about her…Oh, I can do that. You want me to go there with her husband? I can go there. Don’t f*** with me. Tell her to f*** off.”
Whitney Rose addressed the rumor about Angie K’s husband while appearing on the September 18th episode of Access Hollywood‘s Housewives Nightcap podcast.
“The rumor that is brought up I have never heard and I’ve lived in Salt Lake City, born and raised there. Never heard it so it’s just a rumor, but it’s pretty intense,” Whitney teased. “It carries a lot of weight.”
The word on social media is that there are rumors floating around Salt Lake City that Angie K’s husband is gay as he is a longtime hairstylist. This is all alleged and has NOT been confirmed at all.
On top of bringing up the gossip about Angie K’s husband, Meredith was also pissed over Whitney saying her baths with her husband, Seth Marks, were “gross and dirty.”
“That was just like, to get out of a bigger issue. The questions I was being asked in that article were actually way bigger than that and the bathtub was just funny. So I felt like that was a big reach on Meredith’s part. She definitely was reaching but I think it was a lot of lingering emotions from the year prior. There [were] a lot of unresolved issues between Meredith and I with all the rumors around Lisa. She loves a good rumor,” Whitney explained, insisting that her comment didn’t come from a bad place.
Speaking of Meredith and Seth’s bathtub scene, Whitney says her issue wasn’t them being in a bathtub but where the actual bathtub was located.
Whitney alleges that Meredith doesn’t live in Utah, noting that the location is “what the fight was really about,”
“It’s probably somewhere fabulous because Meredith is fabulous,” she added.
“The comment wasn’t really about the bathtub, it was about the fact that Meredith doesn’t live in Utah. She rents AirBnBs,” Whitney alleged. “That was the shade and so it was funny that everyone was caught up about the bathtub because I don’t know where Meredith lives, still till this day and it stresses me out. I’m like, ‘Where does she put her cups and her forks and her knives?’ I’m like, ‘Where does she keep her stuff because she has stuff.’”
“There’s a lot more to come with Meredith and I so I don’t want to give it away but I do love Meredith. I consider her a friend,” she later confirmed, adding that it took them “a lot of time” to get to a good place.
Despite the drama in Palm Springs, Whitney says she “absolutely” does “not” regret inviting Angie K on the girls’ trip.
The RHOSLC OG revealed, “I’m so grateful that I did. It definitely was a risky move on my part but in the end, it played out to be the best for the higher good and for the good of the group. If you’re gonna invite us on a girls’ trip, it’s open to all of us. Meredith wasn’t paying for it so I can bring a plus one. She never said I couldn’t. And, I don’t know how you make a commitment as a group to have a fresh start and then immediately exclude someone. How everything played out, I’m so glad I stood up and brought her. I’d want someone to do that for me.”
Whitney also insists she NEVER expected the drama between Meredith and Angie K.
“I knew that was gonna happen and I think that’s why it felt a bit mischievous. But it’s kind of like cooking: You’re putting ingredients together and you know it’s gonna create chaos in the pan for a minute but then the dish is so good,” she insisted.
While on the subject of drama, Whitney admits that she was “nervous” about Mary Cosby‘s return to RHOSLC after they left things on a “bad note” during season two.
“I feel like a lot of what happened in season two with everything online breaking about her, everyone was talking about it. She was just more mad that I talked about it. She wasn’t as mad with Lisa and Meredith, which is fine, but I never got the chance to work through that with her,” Whitney explained.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 4 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
