Suits found a dedicated fanbase when it first aired — but its Netflix debut has made the legal drama even more popular.
The USA series, which originally ran for nine seasons from 2011 to 2019, stars Patrick J. Adams as Mike Ross, a man who convinced a New York City law firm to give him a job despite him being a college dropout who never passed the LSAT.
Adams’ character gets hired to work alongside Gabriel Macht’s Harvey Specter, but does not disclose the fact he is not an accredited lawyer. Adams and Macht’s characters must hide their secret from their fellow colleagues portrayed by Meghan Markle, Rich Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres and others.
Due to the success of Suits, a self-titled spinoff series about Torres’ character, Jessica Pearson, was ordered and aired following the series finale. Pearson ran for one season as she navigated the realm of politics in Chicago.
