Mattel’s Masters of the Universe and VeeFriends are collaborating to produce a special-edition Masters of the Universe Origins Skeletor & VeeFriends Skilled Skeleton 2-Pack and mini-comic.

What is the new VeeFriends x Mattel collaboration?

The collaboration sees Mattel teaming up with VeeFriends, a contemporary entertainment company created by entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk. The partnership will see the creation of the “Skilled Skeleton,” a character that “symbolizes VeeFriends’ mission to inspire optimism, accountability, and kindness,” alongside Skeletor from Masters of the Universe.

As part of the collaboration, VeeFriends — which typically has dealt more with trading cards and plush collectibles — will release a physical collectible for the toy. The Skilled Skeleton figure will come packaged with a “Filmation Skeletor” from the Masters of the Universe Origins line.

The figures will be available for pre-order exclusively on the Mattel Creations site beginning on October 6, 2023 at 12 p.m. EST. The two-pack will retail for $45.00

More details on the two-pack of figures can be seen below:

Skilled Skeleton glows in the dark and comes with six swappable hands, removable hood, armor and a shareable VeeFriends flex chain.
Masters of the Universe Skeletor includes three swappable heads for his multiple moods, five swappable hands, Sword of Power, Havoc Staff, and hood and armor.
Both Skilled Skeleton and Skeletor’s heads are interchangeable.
Each character in this special two-pack collaboration also has swappable “heart” and “rock” hands and 16-plus points of articulation.
The figures are packaged in a custom box with sliding slipcovers and a mini-comic.
