Felix Herrera, the husband of the Bronx daycare owner who has been charged in a toddler’s fentanyl-poisoning death can be seen for the first time in his new mugshot since being arrested in Mexico.
As we previously reported, Herrera has been on the run since the tragic death of 1-year-old Nicholas Feliz Dominici at the Divino Niño Daycare in Kingsbridge on Sept. 15. However, following a search, the feds nabbed him after he crossed the southern border into Rosalia on Monday. His getaway ended on Tuesday and was taken into custody in Sinaloa by Mexican authorities.
Herrera’s wife, 36-year-old Grei Mendez De Ventura, had already been taken into police custody following the tragedy. Police said the daycare was all a front for their drug-peddling business run by the couple and two other cohorts. Along with Mr. Herrera, a third alleged accomplice, Renny Antonio Parra Parades, 38, was slapped with federal drug charges for his alleged role in the drug operation. Mendez along with her cousin, Carlisto Acevedo Brito, 41, were arrested the day after Nicholas’ death and charged with murder, assault, and child endangerment.
