Andy Cohen seemingly shaded Bethenny Frankel as “hypocritical” amid her claims against the network. The Real Housewives of New York star then slammed their former friendship, suggesting their relationship was more of a “game,” and she shared why she didn’t previously “[burn] down the house.”
Recently, Bethenny called for a reality TV union, indicating that Bravo is mistreating its stars.
On his Andy Cohen Live show on SiriusXM, shared in a clip by @ratemybravo on Instagram, Andy seemed to throw shade at his former colleague.
“You are as hypocritical as a former Housewife that’s been making a lot of noise about Bravo lately,” said Andy to his co-host, who was calling him out over an unrelated topic.
After the diss, Bethenny addressed her relationship with Andy on her Just B with Bethenny Frankel podcast.
“The truth is I never burned the [Bravo] house down because I thought maybe I’d go back into the house,” said Bethenny, via @byewighellodrama on Instagram.
She went on to say that she believed she and Andy were “kind of really friends” because they would “text back and forth,” but she admitted that she only visited his place once, and the only conversations they had were ‘Housewives’-related.
Now, according to Bethenny, she feels they “kind of don’t like each other,” and they were “both playing this game.”
She then expressed her belief that Andy doesn’t truly celebrate her accomplishments, and he has “resentment” because Bethenny is “supposed to be beneath him” even though they both “came up” at the same time.
“I’m think[ing], I don’t think he likes me at all,” continued Bethenny, who said she was protecting Andy for all those years, though he “hasn’t been protecting me.”
