Fresh out of a scene from the 2012 film Flight, a British Airways pilot faced suspension and eventual termination due to his involvement in a reported incident involving alcohol and cocaine use on the night prior to a return flight to London, and he had the audacity to text the details of the wild night to a flight attendant he worked with.
Fox News reports that Mike Beaton, a pilot employed by British Airways, took advantage of a night off following a flight to Johannesburg last month. During this time, he reportedly consumed excessive amounts of alcohol and even admitted to snorting cocaine off the chest of a topless woman, despite having a return flight to London the next day.
Per the reports, the married father of one, excitedly shared the extra curricular activities with a fellow crew member before their return flight to London. In their exchange of text messages, he acknowledged that he had been involved in some bad behavior by referring to himself as a “very naughty boy.”
In his texts to the flight attendant,Beaton shared that he had encountered two local men, a Welsh woman, and a “young Spanish woman” at a nightclub the previous night where they had spent hours drinking and eventually ended up at one of the men’s places where it all went down.

“Welsh has decided that I should actually be her boyfriend — Spanish has hooked up with one of the two local lads and is having her t–s sucked on their sofa,” Beaton texted.
The married father then went on to share that all the female attendees were dancing topless when someone brought cocaine, and that is when he did a bump off of a woman’s chest.
“I’ve lost my shirt somewhere and one of the local lads produces a plate with a few lines of coke,” Beaton added. “So then there’s a debate about whose chest is the best to do a bump off.”
“That’s the story of how I ended up snorting coke off a girl’s t–s in Johannesburg,” he added. I was so ” f—ed I couldn’t even lift my head until gone 2.”
Apparently, he tried to go to work the next day, but his co worker had reported his antics causing a 12 hour delay in the flight back to London, and $120,000! He was suspended and then tested for Cocaine upon his return to London where he was fired after it was discovered that he tested positive for Cocaine.
A disgusted British Airways captain spoke to MailOnline about the pilot’s antics “Talking to pilot colleagues, we feel hugely let down by this individual.” They added similar incidents involving alcohol in cockpits were “beyond rare – unthinkable”.
In a statement to The Sun, British Airways said that the pilot would never fly again,
“Of all the bad behavior that goes on downroute between flights, this incident is hard to believe. A First Officer is trained rigorously and knows the law inside out. Their remit is protecting the safety of passengers. This behaviour was the opposite of what is expected of British Airways pilots. The airline is in shock. This pilot has hoisted himself by his own petard. The idea of sending details of his drink and drugs session to a stewardess between flights is extraordinarily dumb. Furious managers followed protocol and the pilot was drug-tested on his return to the UK. The alcohol would no longer have been found in his system, but the Class A drug was. He will never fly again.”
