Jenelle Evans and David Eason’s Relationship Timeline 

Jenelle Evans and her husband, David Eason, have gone through ups and downs over the years.

The Teen Mom 2 alum began dating Eason in 2015, nearly two years before they tied the knot. Shortly after their September 2017 nuptials, the pair welcomed daughter Ensley in January of that year. (Evans is also the mom of son Jace, whom she shares with ex Andrew Lewis, and son Kaiser, whom she shares with ex Nathan Griffith.)

Less than two years later, the pair had gone their separate ways and Evans planned on filing for divorce. Their tumultuous split occurred after Eason admitted to killing their family dog and Evans temporarily lost custody of both Kaiser and Ensley. However, the couple had reconciled, vowing to give their marriage another shot in March 2020.

“I left him, and I was like, this isn’t going to be good when I go back to him,” Evans recalled to Us in March 2021. “I know some people don’t understand, but there’s a lot of worse things that have happened in my life than getting back with my husband and trying to work it out. For me, I was willing to give it a second shot. I told David when I came home, I said, ‘If this does not work, we are separating and I am leaving.’ And I think he got it because before, I think [he thought] it just was an empty threat, and then I really left. So, he saw that I really will [leave him]. He started paying attention more to what I was saying.”
