Alternative Press has teamed up with HEALTH for an exclusive vinyl variant of RAT WARS, limited to 500. Head to the AP Shop to snag yours.

HEALTH, the industrial-rock outfit out of LA, have big news: They’re sharing a new album called RAT WARS at the end of the year, dropped two new songs today, and next spring will heading out on a major headlining tour across the U.S.

HEALTH’s last two albums, 2020’s DISCO4 :: PART 1 and 2022’s PART 2, were collaborative affairs that featured at least one guest artist on every single song. RAT WARS marks the band’s first full-length since 2019’s Vol. 4: Slaves of Fear that isn’t entirely premised on working with outside musicians.

“Hateful,” the throbbing single they dropped back in April, will be on there, as well as the two they released today: the metallic “Children of Sorrow” (which features Lamb of God’s Willie Adler on guitar) and the noisier “Sicko,” which samples Godflesh’s “Like Rats.”

As for the tour, HEALTH will be hitting the road in March 2024 with support from Pixel Grip and King Yosef. The trek covers both the East and West Coasts of the U.S., as well as a couple of dates up in Canada.

RAT WARS will be released Dec. 7 via Loma Vista Recordings, and you can preorder Alternative Press’ exclusive “coke bottle clear” vinyl variant from our shop.
