And we are off… the Real Housewives of Orange County reunion day. As the ladies make their way to the stage, we hear Gina saying that Shannon looks like a drag queen, and TBH, that’s a bit offensive to drag queens everywhere. Andy invites the ladies onto a dark set, and then a virtual O.C. beach appears, leaving the ladies in awe. This is Tamra‘s first reunion in three years, and Emily is looking fit and fabulous after losing 40 pounds, which interestingly enough is the same amount of weight in fake hair on Shannon’s head. Shannon points out that her hair is not Teresa status, but I’m willing to bet it’s a close second. Heather is wearing black — how symbolic. Gina, the real estate agent, has two homes in escrow, and Jenn claims she didn’t meditate enough to prep for this. Honey, no amount of meditation is gonna save you from this sh*tshow…
We take a trip down memory lane, rewatching the season that rekindled the friendship between Tamra and Shannon. The ladies claim they are back where they left off, and Tamra backtracks by calling Shannon self-centered. But regarding the rest of the relationships with the ladies, well, those are still a bit rocky for Tamra.
Emily states that her main goal was to be friends with Tamra, but of course, Tamra claims that not being on the show and hearing everyone talk about her was hard, hence the anger. Heather tells Andy she feels sad after Tamra attempted to turn everyone against her, and Heather reminds us all that Tamra did not say one nice thing about her on the episodes.
Andy points out how messy Jenn’s relationships are… with Ryan… and with Tamra. Andy calls Jenn admirable for fostering kids, and she explains that she loved the love she received from the children, especially while her marriage failed. To that point, Gina makes it clear that Jenn did not destroy her family — something that Tamra said during one of the many Jenn take-downs.
Ryan declined coming to tell his side of the story at the reunion — mainly because he couldn’t win when it came to Tamra. Emily ponders if Ryan was simply ring shopping for the show, and Andy reminds Jenn that the good news is that Ryan loves married women. Burn! Good thing he decided not to come on!
Tamra shares that Ryan told her and Eddie about his affair with Jenn, but when Tamra found out that Ryan “cheated on” Jenn, Tamra decided to go hard on their relationship. Jenn emphatically defends Ryan, claiming they were on a break when he slept with another woman. She tells Tamra that it is none of her business to bring her on the show (to which Tamra denies) and then drag her relationship. Jenn calls Tamra a “piece of sh*t of a friend,” especially because she truly thought Tamra was her friend. Jenn then calls Tamra a cheater, and then all of a sudden Tamra starts stuttering and slingling insults because she doesn’t know what move to make next.
Tamra continues to play the “I was your friend” card, but then she whips out receipts showing texts a year into Jenn and Ryan’s relationship demonstrating that Ryan was flirting with another woman. The real question is, why does Tamra care so much about another person’s relationship? Shannon realizes that Tamra’s meddling became too much during the season, BUT she denies asking to dig up more about this couple. Emily adamantly disagrees and shouts that Shannon wanted more juiciness about Jenn and Ryan.
We then move on to the infamous d*ck pic. Jenn is now telling a different story from the one she initially shared on the show, and no one can understand why anyone would send a picture of a limp d*ck at 47 years old. Gina acts as Jenn’s spokesperson and lets the ladies and Andy know that Jenn is picking him, despite his denim jackets and shotty track record. Jenn claims to be loved now more than she has ever been before. Tamra is upset because Jenn just keeps protecting a guy who has done all this stuff, and Jenn makes it seem like Tamra is the liar.
Taylor enters, looking like a Starburst, making her debut as the first Housewife to cross over to the O.C. zip code. The IMDb/acting segment comes on, and Heather and Taylor are now in the spotlight. We learn that Terry had a stroke at a restaurant, and after a literal car chase, Heather was able to get him to go to the hospital. Taylor shares that parts of the movie she is in were able to get filmed prior to the writer’s strike and that someone “really famous” got the part that Heather was going to play. Right.
Heather promises she was not trying to be condescending when talking to Taylor about the movie, and the IMDb fight gets resurrected. Taylor lets Tamra know that she stirred up the pot even further when she took Heather into the bathroom to continue the conversation. Taylor does not appreciate Heather calling her “anti-female,” considering all the work she has done for women and children with domestic violence foundations. Heather then doubles down when she tells Taylor that she shouldn’t put down another woman’s career. Andy asks Tamra if they think Heather thinks she is better than all of them, especially after Heather said in Montana that she wanted off the show.
Emily continues the Heather gang-up and demands to know why she didn’t step in when Tamra claimed Emily wasn’t a practicing attorney. Heather claims she doesn’t “subscribe” to being picked on, and she legit tries to be a good person. As she rambles on, Shannon whispers that she is talking too much and makes the excuse that she must go to the bathroom. Heather lets Taylor know that everything she is saying on social media is very “punitive,” and Taylor promises to sort things out with Heather as she exits the set.
Before the Gina portion begins, we are alerted that the reunion was filmed 10 days prior to Shannon’s DUI arrest, which is important to note considering how much sh*t Shannon talked about Gina for her DUI.
Gina’s reaction to Jenn’s infidelity gets discussed, and because Gina is no longer drinking, she is able to lean into her emotions. When asked why Heather inserted herself in Gina’s relationship, Heather defends herself by stating she hasn’t had a boyfriend in over 30 years, and she truly meant well when she said that Gina should not be talking to Travis about her issues with her ex.
Shannon doesn’t remember that she brought up the DUI — even AFTER she promised she wouldn’t bring it up again. That’s what happens when you drink too much. Gina has yet to get the apology she asked Shannon for after making the statement that her children were going to witness the arrest of their mother, which really triggers Gina.
Shannon tells Gina that she doesn’t like her, and they simply don’t get along. Shannon can’t even name Gina’s kids, yet she feels like she can “drop a bomb about CPS.” Gina gets loud, yet Shannon still hasn’t apologized. Gina is infuriated that Shannon is more worried about everyone talking about her own relationship, and yet there Shannon is talking about Gina’s children.
Shannon claims that she was horrified by the flashback, but it’s so strange that Gina never received an apology text from Shannon. Gina wants Shannon to be a kind person, and being kind doesn’t just mean giving Gina a phone number four years ago. According to Gina, Shannon weaponizes the help she has given Gina and the few times she was nice to her. Gina wants to know why Shannon didn’t come to her and have a conversation.
Gina believes that Shannon is only always worried about herself, and Emily makes it clear that the lowest thing a woman can say to a mother is ANYTHING about her children. Gina gets emotional thinking about the clickbait Shannon has put out in the universe that could potentially be seen by her kids one day, and she tearfully shares that it has gotten so bad that she doesn’t know if she can “honestly continue to do this.” What exactly does Gina mean by this comment?
