Johnny Depp has developed an animated movie titled Johnny Puff: Secret Mission and we have a first look at the project to share with you today along with some additional details. There’s actually a trailer for the film, but we can’t embed it on the site, so you’ll have to click here to watch it. But we do have a few photos here for you to see.
In the film, “Johnny Puff helps his Puffin friends as they go on a secret mission to save their beloved village Taigasville from the evil plans of villain Otto von Walrus.” Depp obviously takes on the role of Johnny Puff.
It’s explained that the characters in the Puffins franchise “adopt an idiosyncratic dialect, which Depp has previously described as a mesh of his own voice and real Puffin sounds.” The movie also offers life lessons in the story that include “recycling, environmental protection, and team spirit.”
Nestor F. Dennis has directed the movie and the distribution rights have been sold to Europe (Little Brother), Korea (AK Entertainment), Spain (Melies), Portugal (NOS Audiovisuais), Middle East (FrontRow) and Turkey (Wediacorp). Discussions are currently happening over North American distribution.
