Nelly and Ashanti are going strong! As of last month, the rekindled baes haven’t been shy about spinning the romance block with each other.
With Ashanti’s 43rd birthday in the books on Oct.13, the “Hot In Herre” rapper made sure to ice his lady out! And while it may not have been the diamond ring fans have called for, Nelly allegedly dropped a hefty BAG on diamonds for the “Foolish” singer.

Before we got to see the icey diamond chain and watch Nelly picked out for Ashanti, he took to Instagram with a sweet but brief message for his lady. The upload was a video montage of throwback and recent moments between the pair, from performances to smiling selfies.
“One time for the birthday girl….@ashanti enjoy your day Ma you look awesome!!! Happy Birthday Love ya,” he wrote in the caption.
He later edited the caption to include, “Such a beautiful, an incredible person inside and out and one of the hardest working women I know.”
In the comment section, Ashanti responded, “Awwww thank u big head, love ya!!”
Nelly Gifts Ashanti Iced Out Jewelry For Her Birthday
We can’t say for sure if the jewelry is all Nelly copped for the singer’s 43rd, but we can note that Ashanti was impressed by the glittering diamonds. In one circulating clip, she looks surprised while cupping her face.
After looking around a cheering room, presumably filled with loved ones, Ashanti walked over to her man and initiated an embrace and a kiss. Nelly wrapped his arms around her, returned the kiss, and gave her a love tap on her hip before embracing her a second time.
After putting on the diamond chain and watch, she again embraced her bae — who was all smiles beside her.
As for the bag spent on the jewelry, MediaTakeout reports that the watch is an Audemars Piquet, and the chain is from Cartier — and estimated each to be worth over $100,000. However, sources for these estimates remain unclear, and The Shade Room could not locate the jeweler seen presenting the gifts in the re-cap clips.
Additional videos shared by an Instagram-based fan page show white, silver, and pink decorations, including balloons and a backdrop, pink cupcakes, and Ashanti enjoying birthday serenades from her loved ones as she danced.
In one clip, Nelly jokingly yelled out “pound town,” as Ashanti embraced him!
Nelly & Ashanti Together? When Did THAT Happen Again?
Celebrating Ashanti’s birthday together seemingly marks a milestone in their rekindled romance.
Last month, Nelly confirmed they were dating again in a sit-down with Rasheeda and Kirk Frost. He revealed that spinning the block was not in their plans and that the second chance “surprised” them both.

The confirmation came following fan speculation in April after the duo appeared hand-in-hand at a fight between Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Ryan Garcia.
Then, Ashanti gave her own confirmation when she popped out on the 2023 VMA pink carpet, rocking a purse with a selfie of her and Nelly on it. She later revealed that the photo marked the first time they exchanged numbers nearly 20 years ago at the 2003 VMA.
No word on whether Nelly plans to offer any other diamonds any time soon, but we’ll keep you posted!
