Mariah Carey is taking a moment to share an update on how her 12-year-old twins — Moroccan and Monroe Cannon — are growing up!

Mariah Speaks Fondly Of Her 12-Year-Old Twins: “They’re Kind-Hearted People”
The songstress shared her commentary during a meet-up with PEOPLE, and she got it poppin’ by suggesting she didn’t want them to “rush” or grow up too fast.
Nonetheless, the proud momma says that getting to watch her tweens mature is “actually really beautiful.”
She didn’t stop there, as she also gave Moroccan and Monroe a shoutout for being “good, nice kids.”
“They’re kind-hearted people, and I really enjoy being around them and watching them grow up into the people that they’re ultimately going to become.”
As far as what her preteen children are currently into, Mariah says they’re both on their sports grind.
“They’re into activities like physical sports and stuff like that, which I was hoping they would be, because when they were little, I had them doing that. Then, when it was COVID, they really couldn’t go anywhere and do anything. So now they’re both really enjoying activities and sports and all of that.”
Looking ahead at the upcoming holiday season, the self-proclaimed “Queen of Christmas” also declared, “What I want for my kids for Christmas is to just enjoy themselves, be happy, enjoy being with family, and feel loved.”

Mariah’s update on the Cannon twins comes nearly six months after Moroccan and Monroe celebrated their twelfth trip ’round the sun.
As The Shade Room reported, Mariah Carey shared a sweet social media post to commemorate the special milestone.
Beneath an upload highlighting various photos of the kids, she showed love and mentioned a line from “Supernatural” before including a reference to “Always Be My Baby.”

The fun upload showed Mariah’s glam team dolling her up as she lip-synced, and her kids soon joined in on the moment.
