Catherine O’Hara is set to reprise her role as Sally for one of three concert performances at the Hollywood Bowl of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas later this month.
O’Hara (Beetlejuice) will participate in one of the shows alongside Danny Elfman, who reprises his role as Jack Skellington. Singer-songwriter Halsey will be taking the role on the role of Sally on the other two nights. This seems like it would be a lot of fun to attend! I’d love to be there on the night that O’Hara is performing. Previous concerts have brought in Billie Eilish and Phoebe Bridgers to play Sally.
The concerts celebrate the 30th anniversary of Henry Selick-directed animated classic, anf they take place on October 27-29, 2023. O’Hara will be at the last show.
Other concert guests include Fred Armisen as Lock, Riki Lindhome as Shock, and Ken Page as Oogie Boogie. Conductor John Mauceri is set to lead the full orchestra and choir.
The Nightmare Before Christmas In Concert event will also feature additional fun activities, including a costume contest and other Halloween-themed events.
