Shannon Beador spoke out for the first time since her DUI and hit-and-run arrest on Tuesday in a video shared to her Instagram page.
Just over a month after the Real Housewives of Orange County star, 59, was taken into custody after hitting a house with her dog, Archie, in the car, Shannon shared a video with her fans and followers in which her beloved Golden Retriever was featured.
“I know it’s been a while since I posted and there’s been a lot of talk about everything that’s happened recently. But unfortunately, right now, I’m not in the position to comment,” Shannon began on October 17.
As RHOC fans will recall, Shannon stayed silent after the news of her DUI first broke, but her attorney shared a statement with TMZ, assuring critics that the mother of three would be taking full responsibility for her crimes.
“I spent quite a bit of time with Shannon yesterday. She is extremely apologetic and remorseful. We will be awaiting the official information on this case as it becomes available, and Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions,” the attorney said on September 18.
While Shannon, who has reportedly enrolled in an outpatient treatment program, still isn’t saying much, she told fans on Tuesday that she’s getting “healthy.”
“There will be a time when I can [address the arrest] and intend to be open, honest, and authentic. Right now, I’m focusing on getting healthy, getting back to myself, and walking Archie,” she shared.
Although Shannon disabled the comments on the post, she did receive a ton of “likes” from her fellow Bravolebrities and fans, including her RHOC castmates Tamra Judge, 56, Vicki Gunvalson, 61, and Taylor Armstrong, 52.
As Shannon stays mum in regard to the details of her arrest, rumors are swirling in regard to who will return to RHOC for season 18. And according to TV Deets Podcast host Brett Staffen, producers are planning to invite Shannon back to the show to chronicle the fallout from her DUI.
“I’m told that with Shannon Beador’s DUI arrest, producers want to follow the aftermath of that and how that has impacted the group,” he noted. “I’m also told that Jennifer [Pedranti] is expected to return and Taylor [Armstrong] will be back as well, and I’m hearing that it is ‘most likely’ she will keep her friend of the housewives role.”
No word yet on when production will begin on The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18.
