Heads up, Poozers! Superman: Legacy director James Gunn has shared more amazing artwork, this time showcasing Nathan Fillion as the Green Lantern Guy Gardner in the upcoming DC Universe film.
While fans have mostly been happy with James Gunn’s casting choices for Superman: Legacy, one has left them perplexed. Namely, the choice to cast long-time collaborator Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, an iconic Green Lantern, in the DC Universe. It seems as though fans’ fears have been dampened, with Gunn taking to Instagram to share amazing fan art that imagines Fillion in his DC Studios role.

This piece of Superman: Legacy fan art was created by Davi Alves, who also made pieces shared by James Gunn, featuring Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific. Given this piece shows Nathan Fillion donning Guy Gardner’s most iconic Green Lantern outfit, it’s likely he’ll be wearing something similar in the DC Universe. Albeit, it’ll be a shock if DC Studios doesn’t force him to get the even more iconic bowl cut!
Superman’s DC Universe Future
Superman: Legacy is a much-anticipated project, given that Clark Kent has been an integral part of the DC Universe for over 80 years, with various iterations and adaptations across different media. The movie promises to explore the character’s origins and his struggles to balance his dual identities as Clark Kent and Superman while fighting off villains and saving the world.
David Corenswet stars in Superman: Legacy as Clark Kent alongside Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. The cast also includes heroes from across the DC Universe such as Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and Nathan Fillion as the Green Lantern Guy Gardner.
James Gunn and Peter Safran told journalists that their vision for the DC Universe includes locked scripts, wiggle room, and a unified storyline across film, television, animation, and video game projects. The two explained that the DC Universe could bring back elements from previous DC regimes, meaning that their eight-to-year plan is not a full reboot.
