Gina Kirschenheiter’s boyfriend Travis Mullen is getting slammed for allegedly bringing up an unfounded – and later dismissed – misdemeanor drug charge against his ex-wife amid their contentious divorce battle.
Recently, the Real Housewives of Orange County boyfriend managed to get a temporary restraining order against his ex Meghan after claiming she came within 100 yards of his residence, thereby violating a criminal protective order.
Radar Online obtained documents indicating that Meghan called Travis out for allegedly bringing up the misdemeanor charges as a desperate way to get a leg up in court.
On May 23, the ex was pulled over in Irvine, California, and police discovered her Lorazepam for treating anxiety, though she didn’t have access to her prescription on hand.
Because of this one-time occurrence, she faced misdemeanors for possession of a designated substance without a prescription – though the case was eventually dismissed. Meghan claimed her ex-husband already knew this.
In Travis’ August 16 petition for a restraining order, he alleged to the court: “She has also threatened me and my family, and has engaged in a campaign of harassment, unwanted contact, attempted extortion, and threats of harm if I do not comply with her demands.”
He later expressed, “On May 23, 2023, Meghan was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. Meghan’s arraignment is set for September 6, 2023. I did not become aware of these criminal charges until June 26, 2023.”
Meghan then asserted that she did nothing wrong, and she provided the Lorazepam prescription to prove it. She suggested Travis was exploiting the situation for their divorce battle.
“Respondent understands the charge related to the controlled substance issue is going to be dropped, as the issue was related to anxiety medication and Respondent had to submit evidence of a prescription,” read Meghan’s August 18 response.
“If this was an actual concern of Petitioner, he most likely would have filed an ex parte back when the incident occurred. He did not. Most likely he did not because there was no custody issues occurring, and he did not need to try to take a shot at getting an unfair advantage like he is doing now.”
A December court hearing is reportedly scheduled for the former couple, where Travis will attempt to make the restraining order a permanent measure.
