Crown Princess Mary has begun her three-day visit to the US in style.
The mum-of-four, 51, stepped out in a £177 floral midi dress from ba&sh on Monday as she delivered a speech.
She teamed her ensemble with a pair of black slingback heels and accessorised with pink drop earrings and layered gold necklaces.
Images shared by the Danish royal palace show Mary at the UN Mission event, where she marked Denmark’s champion role in “The Coalition on Addressing Sea-level rise & Existential Threats”.
It works to raise awareness of the consequences of climate change, including the impact of rising sea levels on low-lying communities.
Mary gave the opening speech in front of UN ambassadors from the Small Island Developing States (SIDS), which is an association of 39 small development states, as well as a number of other representatives.
Ahead of the visit, the palace outlined the rest of the Crown Princess Mary’s itinerary – including meetings to mark UN Day and time with executive director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Catherine Russell.
On Wednesday, the royal will attend the World Anti-Bullying Forum 2023 in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she will deliver the conference’s opening speech about her foundation’s efforts to combat bullying.
Crown Princess Mary’s trip to the US comes after the Danish royal family celebrated Mary and Crown Prince Frederik’s eldest child Prince Christian’s 18th birthday on 15 October.
The prince’s grandmother, Queen Margrethe, hosted a lavish gala dinner at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen.
Guests included members of other royal households, including Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway, Princess Catharina-Amalia of The Netherlands, Princess Estelle of Sweden and Princess Elisabeth of Belgium.
Queen Margrethe and Prince Christian both gave speeches at the bash, and the night was rounded off with a performance by Danish rock star, Benjamin Hav and his band, The Family. Watch the clip below for an insight into the celebrations…
The palace shared some stunning official portraits of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary with their four children from the white-tie gala.
As well as Prince Christian, the couple are also parents to Princess Isabella, 15, and 12-year-old twins, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.
© Dennis Stenild, KongehusetIn July, Queen Margrethe, 83, became the longest reigning monarch in Danish history, surpassing the reign of King Christian IV, who ruled for approximately 51 years and six months.
Margrethe ascended the throne on 14 January 1972, following the death of her father, King Frederick IX.
The queen also has a younger son, Prince Joachim, who relocated to Washington D.C. for his new role at the Danish Embassy in the summer.

He married his second wife Marie Cavallier in May 2008 and the couple have two children – Count Henrik and Countess Athena.
As of 1 January this year, Margrethe made the decision to strip four of her grandchildren of their royal titles, meaning that Nikolai, Felix, Henrik and Athena are now titled Count of Countess of Monpezat.
