Looks like Dj Envy’s lawyer is letting it be known that his client is innocent and that’s he’s also a victim when it comes to Cesar Pina’s Ponzi scheme.
According to reporter, Meghann Cuniff who played a big part in Tory Lanez’s trial against Megan Thee Stallion, she shared a few tweets on Tuesday detailing the conversation that she had with the radio personality’s attorney. Envy’s lawyer, Massimo D’Angelo said his client will be “assisting and cooperating fully” so he can not only get his money back but also get the money back that multiple victims also invested. Cunniff also shared that Envy invested $500,000 with Pina but didn’t get a dime back, just like some of the other investors have spoken out and stated.

D’Angelo continued, “he paid out substantial sums similar to some of the other investors who thought they were getting their money back.” As we previously reported, on Wednesday October 18th) Dj Envy’s alleged business partner Cesar Pina was arrested on federal charges for running a real estate fraud scheme.
Now if your not caught up on whats going on, Envy has been accused by dozens of victims of being an accomplice in a Ponzi scheme authorities claim was orchestrated by the arrested Cesar Pina and his wife Jennifer. The Pinas are being accused of running a fraudulent real estate company and stealing money from investors after promising the funds would be used to fix up multiple real estate ventures across New Jersey. The money that the Pinas received allegedly never went into those investments.
Envy, whose real name is RaaShaun Casey is being brought into this whole situation because many of the victims claim they only knew about Cesar because Dj Envy introduced him to them and also brought him onto his major platform, The Breakfast Club to explain the real estate business that they had going on. Dj Envy is the co founder of, “Flipping NJ,” the name of their company.

A few weeks ago Envy took the time to address the rumors that were circulating on social media and said his lawyers told him not to speak on it but he wanted to make some things clear.
On “The Breakfast Club,” Envy said he did the seminars with Pina because he wanted to “uplift” his community by teaching others about generational wealth and how to buy homes online.
“I did these seminars and brought industry professionals to all these seminars,” he admitted. “Now Cesar, if he took money, I wasn’t privy to it, nor did I even know. But I do understand how people feel if they did give him money.”
