Mauricio Umansky dedicated his performance on Tuesday night’s Dancing With the Stars to estranged wife Kyle Richards just hours after being romantically linked to his partner, Emma Slater.
In an Instagram post to his fans and followers, the Buying Beverly Hills cast member, 53, admitted Kyle, 54, “was” his rock as he looked back on their life together — as she shared a post on her own page, teasing the “twists and turns” that are to come on the 13th season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
On the October 24 episode of DWTS, Mauricio and Emma, 34, who were caught holding hands after a dinner date in Beverly Hills over the weekend, performed a contemporary dance to “Rise Up” by Andra Day.
Just after Mauricio and Emma took to the ballroom floor for their performance, which earned them a 24 out of 30, Kyle surfaced on Instagram, where she shared her RHOBH cast photo for season 13 and spoke of the upcoming premiere.
“Tonight! Season 13 begins,” she wrote on October 25. “[Thirteen] years… Here we go again. Each season always brings surprise twists and turns. This season more than ever.”
According to Kyle, she was “struggling” amid filming on the new season, likely due to her separation from Mauricio — and the romance rumors she faced as she continued to grow close to country singer Morgan Wade, 28.
“I am normally one to isolate when I am struggling, so navigating through this time in my life while cameras were rolling was challenging to say the least,” she explained. “I am grateful that are plenty of fun times too. Ultimately that has been what has kept me coming back year after year. That and my relationships with the people that make RHOBH. Cast and crew. So, now it’s time to sit back and watch ( and for me to relive these moments. Good and bad.)”
“As always, thank you for watching. And thank you for coming along on this wild ride we call life,” she added.
As for Mauricio’s dance dedication to Kyle, that was announced on his Instagram page ahead of last night’s show.
“Tonight’s dance on [Dancing With the Stars] is about life and how it’s not always perfect and when you think it’s impossible to move mountains and you’re at your lowest moment and you think all doors are closed you need to rise up and rise unafraid and move mountains,” he shared. “My time was 1996 when Kyle and I got married and [Alexia Umansky] was born, we had [Farrah Aldjufrie] and Alexia. I was 26 when I was fired from my job and was broke.”
Continuing on, Mauricio noted how supportive Kyle was at that time.
“Kyle was my rock and together we rose up and we rose up 1000 x and we moved mountains a lot of them. It’s been an incredible journey. Tonight’s dance is dedicated to Kyle and my Family,” he concluded.
Dancing With the Stars season 32 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 premieres tonight, October 25, at 8/7c on Bravo.
