Diddy’s former bodyguard has once again said with certainty that Puff and 2Pac’s alleged killer were associates, but clarified that he doesn’t know for sure if they worked out an arrangement to have the California legend killed.
On Thursday (October 26), Gene Deal sat down with The Art Of Dialogue to talk discuss working for the Bad Boy mogul during the height of the East Coast–West Coast beef of the 90s.
“Keefe D, I’ve seen him a number of times,” Deal began. “[He and Puff] were gambling together, they were drinking together, they had fun, they was hanging out in hotels — yes, they did have a relationship.
He added: “As far as me having any information whether he commissioned Keefe D to do a murder — nah bruh, that ain’t me. They can ask me, did I see Keefe D? Yes, I did. Was he around? Yes, he was.”
A little later, he made it clear that he would testify in court should those involved in the case ask him, because he has nothing to hide and no intention of lying. Check out the interview below:
Last month, Deal made some bold claims about Keefe D’s alleged involvement in 2Pac’s murder. During a different conversation with The Art of Dialogue, he offered his version of the events in question while shining some light on what he believes actually happened.
“Well, the story I heard, which was portrayed in the Murder Rap movie or whatever, and it was [former LAPD detective] Greg Kading’s accounts that supposedly Keefe D gave,” he said. “If you ever been in an interrogation or anything that has to do with some law enforcement, right — before they get to that videotape; before they get to that camera — it’s already written down what you’re going to say.”

“They going to tell you what they need for you to say and how they need for you to think and what you need to do to get out this situation,” Deal added, insinuating the admission was rehearsed.
Later, Deal revealed his true feelings surrounding Keefe’s alleged hand in Pac’s death, saying, “And Keefe D, no disrespect. To me, he did what he had to do to walk home. He said what he had to say to be a free man. All the players is dead right now. He’s the only spade left on the table. He gon’ win or he gon’ lose.”
Keefe D, who once bragged about his involvement in the assassination of the Death Row icon, is now facing charges for the crime, with Las Vegas homicide leading the charge in the nearly 27-year-old cold case.
