Card’s body was found in the woods, and officers will provide further details during a press conference scheduled for 10 p.m., as reported by TMZ. The news comes after authorities went on a search for Card after he opened fire at a bowling alley and a bar in Lewiston, and residents were told to shelter in place. Card was reportedly a trained firearms instructor with military experience and worked as a petroleum supply specialist in the Army Reserve after he enlisted in 2002.
Before the deadly shooting, Card heard voices and threatened to shoot up a National Guard base in Saco. He was committed to a mental health facility during the summer but was released after a few weeks.
