Spooky Season has arrived — and so have this year’s celebrity Halloween costumes.

Kelsea Ballerini kicked things off Wednesday night (Oct. 25) with her Original Donut Shop Coffee costume party in New York City, where she dressed up in one of the most popular costumes for 2023: Barbie.

And she wasn’t just any Barbie. She specifically channeled Margot Robbie’s western-wear Barbie from the Greta Gerwig-directed film, wearing a white cowgirl hat with a two-piece, hot-pink bell-bottom set and matching neckerchief — a perfect fit for the country star. (You can find the look for less in our roundup of the best pop-culture Halloween costumes for 2023.)

“HI BARBIE, HAPPY (early) HALLOWEEN,” Ballerini captioned a series of photos in the fuchsia look.

Another early adopter this Halloween is Chloe Bailey, who shared her racy take on Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones, wearing a long blond wig with a bodysuit made of metal to complete the medieval costume. She’s surrounded by dragon eggs, skulls, candles and an hourglass in the pics and is also sitting atop a throne — though it’s not quite the sword-covered Iron Throne that Dany eventually sits upon.

“I am Khaleesi, the Mother of Dragons #gameofthrones,” Bailey captioned her photo set, alongside a dragon emoji.

But Halloween 2023 is just getting started. Below, find the best costumes from musicians and celebrities, including some perfect musician-themed ideas, like Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams’ timely “ketchup and seemingly ranch” getups. See all the photos below, updating through Halloween (Oct. 31).

Ariana Grande as a cat

Ariana Grande posted a Boomerang video (the ninth slide in the carousel below) backstage at brother Frankie Grande’s performance as Frank-N-Furter in Bucks County Playhouse’s production of The Rocky Horror Show. She channeled the musical’s costume-party vibe in black cat ears and bejeweled makeup.

Hailey Bieber as a vampire and Rachel from Friends

In the week before Halloween, Hailey Bieber has already rolled out two new costumes: a vampire for her Who’s in My Bathroom? YouTube series and Jennifer Aniston’s Friends character Rachel Green on Instagram (in the seventh and 10th slides below).

Sarah Hyland & Wells Adams as ‘ketchup and seemingly ranch’

Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland and her Bachelor in Paradise bartender husband Wells Adams win for most topical costume so far, dressing up as “ketchup and seemingly ranch,” in reference to the condiments Taylor Swift reportedly used on her chicken fingers at the first Kansas City Chiefs game she attended in support of Travis Kelce.

Vanessa Hudgens as a celestial bride

For her Halloween-weekend bachelorette party, Vanessa Hudgens wore a spaghetti-strapped bridal dress with a celestial headpiece, surrounded by her friends (including Sarah Hyland) in all black. “Dress code: All black for a bride in white,” Hyland captioned an Instagram photo of the group. Hudgens is engaged to professional baseball player Cole Tucker.

The pop star’s look was dead-on, with long, straight, dark hair and the iconic makeup Addams is known for.

Ice Spice as Betty Boop

Ice Spice‘s caption for her Halloween weekend costume was short and to the point: “wetty boop !” The rapper shared a video clip and selfie revealing her red-hot look with her post on X. On Instagram, she offered more angles of her cute costume.
