In the upcoming episode, the Raijuta arc seems to be finally closing, at least temporarily. Naturally, fans wonder what’s in store for them, and if they will get a mini-arc moving forth. Fans are excited to see if new villains and antagonists will be introduced in the next episode, in order to mark the beginning of a new arc. However, it’s still a mere probability, and nothing can be stated with certainty.

From the recently released preview images, the focus on Captain Sagara is indicated. Moreover, Kaoru might also be the focal point of attention. No matter what happens, Team Kenshin is expected to bring the fans the right amalgamation of action and drama.

Rurouni Kenshin episode 18: What happened previously?

In the previous episode of the anime, Yutaro realizes how severe his injuries are. But, later on, he still assists Kenshin in confronting Raijuta with Kaoru and Yahiko. During the battle, Raijuta overwhelms Kenshin with Izuna techniques and leaves him no room to counter. This corners Kenshin.

However, Kenshin uses a ranged attack and knocks Raijuta out. While Raijuta threatens Yahiko’s life, the latter refuses to let Kenshin lose for his sake. Then, Kenshin releases Yahiko, and the episode ends on a bittersweet note with Yutaro promising to return to face Yahiko and prove his swordsmanship.
