Azealia Banks is doing something she doesn’t often do… she’s apologizing for some of her past hurtful comments. However, while doing that she’s also taking a few digs at another rapper.
In a Saturday Instagram Story Post, Azealia Banks sends an apology to singer Lizzo. She says, “I was having a conversation last night and realized that I owe @lizzobeeatinga huge apology for popping so much shit.” While she didn’t go into details about some of the things she said in the past, she also used that time l call out rapper Busta Rhymes.
She said, “If hip hop will allow a 55+ severely overweight #bustarhymes who exhibits major signs of anabolic steroid abuse, adrenal gland failure, and constipation, and will also allow him to have a face full of blackheads and acne from what appears to be testosterone shot abuse …ALL whilst drinking molly water in 2023 and wearing cartoon-like Neon yellow fake gold slick Rick chains…. We have absolutely no right to be trying to skewer a YOUNG black woman – for anything.” She added, “These rap niggas *actually* look sound, and smell like garbage pail kids. We really have to be careful at who we’re trying to hold responsible for being bad influences. Busta truly has been rockin that brown mink with those beauty supply shop slick Rick chains for the last 8 years. YALL KNOW THAT COAT STINK.”
So where the heck is this all coming from? Well…
Some may remember Banks calling him out in 2020 over an uncleared track. She said at the time, “When this quarantine is over, I’mma f**k a lot of y’all n****s summers up. Everybody getting violated,” she wrote in her Instagram Stories. “I got a long list of n****s who ‘bout to get a surprise. Y’all never seen how evil this s**t gets. I’m not talking about music. I’m coming to SEE you niggas. Each and every last one of you.” She added, “[Busta Rhymes], you first n**ga,” Banks declared, before advising him to “clear the record before I expose you.”

What About Her Issues With Lizzo?
Banks targeted Lizzo back in 2019. She accused the “Truth Hurts” singer of “making a fool of her black self for a white American public.”
“The fact that the public and the media has been keeping this fat girl joke going for so long is honestly peak boredom.” She went on to note that Lizzo “is legit talented,” Banks maintained that Lizzo’s number one hit “Truth Hurts” is “not good,” and that stage persona makes her a “millenial mammy.”
Although Banks is talented herself, she has become more known for her feuds in recent years than her music. On top of Lizzo and a Busta, she’s also gotten into it with Vince Staples, Grimes and Elon Musk, Lana Del Rey, Nick Cannon, and more.
