New Jersey State Police were called to the Elizabeth Moore School on October 30 after receiving anonymous tips about the disgusting videos posted by custodian Giovanni Impellizzeri. The 25-year-old posted videos of himself performing sexual acts with inanimate objects at the school. According to NBC Philadelphia, officials said he allegedly tamped with and contaminated food products and utensils in the school with bleach and his bodily fluids, which included urine, saliva, and feces.
The contaminated food products and utensils most likely were served to students and staff at the school. Investigators also believe that he performed the heinous acts during after-school hours, and he was arrested on October 31. Police charged him with aggravated assault, tampering with food products, endangering the welfare of a child, and attempted endangering the welfare of a child.

Impellizzeri was also charged with official misconduct on November 2. The school district placed the disgraced janitor on administrative leave, and some parents took their children to the doctor after learning about the crime. Prosecutors said he’s been working at the school since 2019.
Investigators said they were collecting bodily fluid specimens from Impellizzari to indicate if there was a potential for infectious diseases for anyone who ate the food at the school. Additionally, the health department will notify authorities if the specimens come back positive, and students and staff will be asked to contact their primary care physician if they experience any illnesses.
“For now, parents of students and others who may have consumed contaminated food should contact their healthcare provider if they show signs of illness, particularly severe illness,”
Parents also said the school district didn’t provide further answers about the case, and one mother said the school is giving “attitude” rather than solutions. Another parent said that some kids have been getting sick, and it possibly could’ve been from the contaminated food and utensils.
“Kids are getting sick, having diarrhea, vomiting, and we’re blaming it on a belly bug when in reality it could be hepatitis, it could be food poisoning. Like, who knows what else he’s putting in there?” said parent Cristencia Jenkins.
