RHOP Star Gizelle Bryant Discusses Chris Bassett Affair Rumors

Gizelle Bryant discusses the cheating rumors between Chris Bassett and Candiace Dillard-Bassett from The Real Housewives of Potomac, as she also addresses her relationship with Jason Cameron.

Last year, the world caught wind that Gizelle had begun dating Jason. Of course, Jason is one of the stars of Bravo’s Winter House. The revelation came after a fan account on Twitter posted pictures of the two where they seemed pretty close to each other.

Now, as The Real Housewives of Potomac gears up for a new season some fans are wondering if the two are still a happy couple. Of course, the speculation comes as some fans feel as though the pair don’t have very much in common. One of the biggest differences between them is age, as Gizelle is 52, and Jason happens to be 36.

However, Gizelle is putting the rumors to rest and has revealed that they are still together. In an exclusive interview with US Weekly, Gizelle said, “I’m super happy that Jason kind of understands me, gets my life. I clearly understand his life.” She went on to say, “He has been a breath of fresh air and someone that I can just tell everything to, and I know it stays with him.”

Despite things going well with Jason, Gizelle also revealed to the publication that she does not feel the need to label their relationship. She said, “I just appreciate the time that we have and the time that we spend together. We have so much fun when we’re together, I’m just happy doing what we’re doing.”

Fans should note that Jason will make a few appearances in the new season. However, she has no plans to ever appear on Bravo’s Winter House.

Besides talking about her relationship with Jason Cameron, Gizele also discussed the cheating rumors between Chris and Candiace. As some fans know, a woman recently came forward claiming to be his mistress and that she had had an abortion at the request of the RHOP husband. Chris Bassett and Candiace have been married since 2018.

In her talk with Us Weekly, Gizelle revealed that she does believe the rumors have merit. She said, “I feel like it’s unfortunate, but I tried to tell Candiace about her husband last season. And she didn’t want to listen, so maybe she should have listened.”

Specifically about the woman’s claims, the Real Housewives of Potomac star had this to say, “I felt like her story was very believable.” Candiace and Chris Bassett are yet to address the allegations.

As fans will recall, Gizelle claimed to have tea on Chris and was at odds with the couple all last season. However, the chatter about the rumors died down at the end of season seven. In discussing the upcoming season, Gizelle revealed that she and Candiace didn’t have very many scenes together. RHOP returns to Bravo on November 5th.
