Summary
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Holly Weeks wants Wayne Cornish to live together with her in the U.S. Holly, 44, was married twice before meeting Wayne on a Jehovah’s Witnesses dating app. The Utah woman met the 40-year-old plumber in South Africa where they got engaged within three days. Holly relocated to Johannesburg on the show and took her mother Judy along for the wedding that was to happen a week after her arrival. Wayne had kept Holly in the dark about his finances. It didn’t stop her from getting married to him. However, Holly is now regretting what she did.
Holly had been feeling lonely in South Africa after her mom left. She had nothing to do to entertain herself. She was used to having a very active life back in the U.S. She ordered a mermaid tail to cheer herself up. She thought it would make her feel better about living there. Wayne didn’t seem to approve of Holly’s mermaid fantasy. She had finally found something to do that she loved. Holly had not made any friends, but Wayne thought she was not trying hard enough. Wayne wanted Holly to hang out with his friends, but Holly didn’t have anything in common with them.
Holly Is Feeling “Depressed & Sad” In South Africa
Wayne insisted she hadn’t found anything common because she hadn’t spent any time with them. “It’s like you’re complaining about everything, but you haven’t really given it a shot,” he added. Holly confessed she was not adjusting well to her new home. “I’m not doing well. I am depressed, I’m sad,” said Holly, who’d reached her breaking point. She confessed she didn’t know how much more she could take.
Holly Asked Wayne To Move To The U.S. With Her
Holly admitted she was the one who decided to come to South Africa and marry Wayne. She felt like it was up to her to make things work. However, Holly was scared because she didn’t know if she could handle staying in South Africa long-term. “I don’t know what that means for the future,” she told the cameras. A different scene from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 5 showed Holly experiencing a power cut while she was in the middle of an arts and crafts project. She had been in the country for four months by then. She didn’t have any support system apart from Wayne.
Wayne, meanwhile, had been working for longer than usual. She didn’t like being home alone, and they had only five hours of power a day at this point. Holly had safety concerns. When Wayne returned home in the middle of the blackout, she told him, “I can’t take this anymore. I want to leave. I want to go to America.” Wayne was annoyed with Holly “moaning about power” the minute he stepped foot inside the house. Holly told him it was “simple,” and they could just leave and go to America together. “I know that I don’t really want to live in South Africa anymore,” Holly added.
Where Is Wayne Staying Now In 2023?
Wayne worried about how he would make money in America since he wouldn’t be able to work for a certain time on his visa. He didn’t want Holly to take care of him as it would be against his culture. He wanted Holly to adapt to South Africa. Holly said she couldn’t do it anymore. She wanted Wayne to come with her and be with her in the U.S. The plan was for the couple to stay in South Africa regardless of what happened. “I just don’t know if I can go to America like ever,” Wayne acknowledged. Holly recently told an Instagram follower, “I’m in America for a funeral” in the comments section of a post.
Meanwhile, Wayne’s Instagram username has “sa” to show how proud he is of his country. Wayne posted a video from Cape Town on October 9, 2023, to confirm he’s still living in South Africa itself. Wayne also mentions that he is a qualified plumber but does digital marketing “now.” It could be what Wayne plans to do for work in the U.S. Holly and Wayne do appear to be together as they like each other’s posts and follow each other. However, Holly and Wayne’s current relationship status will surely be revealed soon as 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way slowly inches to its finale.
