Summary

Despite being a competitive threat, Jag may have jeopardized his chances of winning by making one of the worst moves of the season. Jag had the opportunity to take a shot at his biggest threat but chose to play it safe, potentially costing himself $750,000. Jag’s decision to keep his ally Matt in the game instead of evicting him may make it more difficult for him to win if they both reach the final 2 chairs.

Big Brother 25’s Jag Bains has been a competitive threat throughout his time in the house, but after making one of the worst moves of the season, many are wondering if he can still win the game. Jag has been aligned with Matt Klotz for the majority of the season, with Matt even saving Jag’s BB life during week 4 with the BB Power Of Invincibility. While Jag and Matt have depended on one another for safety in the game, they’re also each other’s biggest threats. The pair have known for weeks that even though they have a final 2 deal, they’d be safer at the end without each other.

Both Jag and Matt have been known for making safe moves throughout the season, only making bigger moves that would get blood on their hands when they could hide behind the people in power. With the numbers in the BB house continuing to dwindle down, Jag had the opportunity to take a shot at his competitive threat in order to ensure himself a seat in the final 2 chairs. Rather than doing something that could’ve won him the game, Jag may have cost himself $750,000. Some are wondering if Jag can win Big Brother 25 after fumbling so hard.

Jag Won The Final 4 Power Of Veto, Giving Him Sole Power

After Matt’s Head Of Household reign saw Survivor legend Cirie Fields evicted from the BB 25 house, only 4 players were left standing. Jag, Bowie Jane, and Felicia Cannon competed live on Big Brother for the final 4 Head Of Household title while Matt, who was ineligible to compete, waited for the results. After a tremendous effort, Bowie won the Head Of Household competition after a tiebreaker question with Jag. Bowie chose to nominate Matt and Felicia, keeping Jag safe from the nomination block, and with all the houseguests eligible to play in the Power Of Veto competition, things were tense.

The Power Of Veto competition was another difficult slog for the houseguests, who were all hoping to win the power. Jag ultimately prevailed, winning the most important Power Of Veto of the season. Holding all the power, Jag was not only the competition winner buy by securing his safety, he became the sole vote to evict for the week. While the obvious choice seemed to be evicting Felicia, as per his plans with Matt and Bowie, Jag began to consider the option to evict his long-time ally.

Matt And Jag’s Minutemen Alliance Kept Jag Conflicted

Although Matt and Jag have been aligned throughout BB 25, Jag began to think about the option of evicting the only competitive threat left in the game. While Jag has won an impressive number of competitions in the BB house, Matt has been a competitor as well and is one of the few people who has beat Jag in a competition in the past. Jag’s decision was difficult, as he continued considering the fact that not only were he and Matt aligned, but Matt was the person who saved him early in the game. He understood evicting Matt would be the right choice but wasn’t sure he could do it.

Jag Tried To Justify Evicting Matt, But Couldn’t

Jag seemed to talk himself in and out of evicting Matt throughout the week, weighing the pros and cons with Bowie over and over again. When Jag spoke to Felicia, he reassured her he would let her know ahead of time what his decision was, taking in the fact that she continued to tell him not to carry Matt forward. Jag understood her position, but he felt that there were roadblocks to him evicting Matt that others couldn’t comprehend. Jag felt deeply guilty about considering the idea, and though he tried to scramble for reasons that he should evict Matt from the game, he came up empty-handed each time.

Matt has prided himself on playing one of the most loyal games out of all the BB 25 houseguests, and though he hasn’t exactly kept his word in most situations, he’s tried to project as innocent a facade as possible. Jag, who’s privy to a lot of Matt’s lies, knows the most about Matt’s game overall and understands that his choices have benefited the both of them. Though he chatted through the options with Bowie, ultimately Jag was unable to make enough of a case for himself to evict Matt.

BB 25’s Final Four Eviction Saw Felicia Cannon’s Demise

With all the options ironed out, Jag chose to evict Felicia from the Big Brother house rather than taking out his biggest competition. Felicia, who spoke to BB host Julie Chen Moonves after her eviction, shared that she felt Jag’s decision to leave Matt in the house was definitely the wrong one. Though she admitted her reasons were a bit selfish in nature, she explained that Jag’s choice to leave Matt in the game would make it more difficult for him at the end. If Matt and Jag are the two sitting in the final 2 chairs, Jag may have a more difficult time winning.

While Jag took his chances and chose to keep Matt in the game, it may be a huge detriment to his Big Brother 25 journey. If Jag winds up able to take Bowie to the final 2, he could still find himself winning the game, but if he’s sitting in the chairs with Matt, the jury may be able to make a more compelling case for Matt’s social game. Jag, who’s won his way to the end in competitions, has had a far different style of social game than Matt, who’s made connections and won when he needed to. The choice may be harder for Jag with Matt in the end.

Can Jag Still Win BB 25 Making Weak Moves?

Jag could’ve made a huge move, cutting his biggest threat in the game in order to ensure his advancement, but decided to play it safe once again. This has been a trend in Jag’s gameplay throughout Big Brother 25, and the fact that he’s making weak moves may be the thing that costs him the game. Instead of choosing to take out the people who could get in his way, Jag has chosen to allow others to do the work for him most of the time. While he will likely be part of the process at the end of Big Brother 25, it’s possible that playing meek could cost him.
