Omarion has a complicated love life that, among other things, involves one of his former B2K groupmates having dated the mother of his two children.
During an interview on the The Jason Lee Show that premiered on Wednesday (November 3), the R&B singer discussed polyamory, his children and the process of forgiving Lil Fizz for dating his ex-girlfriend, Apryl Jones.
“That was one of the toughest things I’ve ever had to do in my life, up to date,” he admitted. “I had to ask myself some real important questions and one of those questions was, ‘Well, what was it really about for you, O?’ Not what is it about for everybody else, what is everybody thinking when you do this. It’s like, ‘No, what is this about for you?’”
He added: “I’ve always been a very observant and sound-of-mind person. I know when people tryna come with that bullshit. I could smell it before it even gets here. At the end of the day, I’m always gonna honor what’s best for me and my family. Even though, people went out of their way to do certain things, I feel like I still got white on. I got no blemishes because I stood true to who I am.”
During the opening night of B2K’s Millennium Tour in 2021, Lil Fizz paused the show to publicly apologize to Omarion for the domestic drama.
“I did some fucked up shit to my brother,” Fizz said. “I did some snake-ass shit, and I’m not proud of it. So, I want to sit here humbly and sincerely apologize to you for any turmoil or dysfunction I caused between you and your family.”
Omarion accepted the apology, saying it was “all good” between the two before the show proceeded as planned.
Fizz began dating Jones shortly after the conclusion of the original Millennium Tour in 2019. The move helped birth the meme of Omarion being “unbothered” after he vocalized that he had no feelings toward Jones and Fizz’ relationship.
The situation escalated throughout 2019 as Jones publicly sent shots at Omarion while hyping her relationship with Fizz. Eventually, Fizz and Jones split in the beginning of 2020, following which the latter moved on to date Dr. Dre.
